Fantasy football trade advice

In one of my leagues I have Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner. Both have been playing well and it seems a waste to keep them both. My biggest weakness is probably WR (non-PPR league) where my best guy is Randy Moss - who hasn't been scoring well. Roy Williams and Anthony Gonzalez are the next best.

In shopping both QBs around, I got an offer of Calvin Johnson for Peyton Manning. I've been more willing to trade Manning, so this seems OK. Not sure what having Culpepper throwing to Johnson will do to his value going forward. Is there sufficient value to make this trade?

My other offer was Roethlisberger and Devery Henderson for Warner. This seems fairly light as it would downgrade my QB and give me a WR who isn't all that much better than what I have.

Thoughts?

Who's on the waiver wire?

I wouldn't trade either...Warner has mojo weapons but has a history of breaking down. Manning's team will be competitive throughout the stretch trying to get into the playoffs and they will air out the ball because Addai/Rhodes backfield is unsettled and inconsistent.

Big Ben is nice but really a downgrade from Warner and Henderson is inconsistent and not really much of an upgrade to Williams/Gonzales.

Should you consider the Manning for Johnson, it is a nice pickup, but for Manning you should you be able to grab something a little less risky?

Top waiver WRs are probably Matt Jones, Muhsin Muhammad and Isaac Bruce. It is a 12-team league with some pretty decent players so waiver pickups are tough. I am probably at a point where I'll need a bunch of help to make the playoffs but we pay out for top points each week. I'm mainly worried about staying as competitive as possible through the end of the season without making any potentially unbalanced trades.

Indy down the stretch:

Week 17: Tennessee

Arizona:
Week 13: Philly
Week 14: St. Louis

I'd keep Manning for the playoffs.

Yeah, Warner will probably destroy St. Louis in Week 14, but between Weeks 13 and 15 Manning's going to score eleventy billion points, a gimpy Marvin Harrison or not.

On a related note, I have Anthony Gonzalez, mostly on the off chance that on a particular week Marvin Harrison doesn't start or Clark doesn't play so they put Gonzalez in there for some catches. In these roles he's been productive. However, with Harrison gimping along and Clark still in there, he's been a bit of a bust. Should I cut him loose, or hang on in the hopes he breaks out (I'm weak at WR anyway)?

I also just traded Ryan Grant for Greg Jennings. I already have Mwelde Moore, Steven Jackson and Adrian Peterson at RB, so it's a bit risky, but I needed a WR upgrade. Here's hoping Rodgers comes out of his slump.

I need to start 2 WRs this week from:

L. Evans (vs. Cle)
A. Gonzalez (vs. Hou)
D. Mason (@ NYG)
R. Williams (@ Was)
A. Bryant (vs. Min)
G. Jennings (vs. Chi)

I think Lee Evans is a definite. If Gonzalez was a starter, I think he'd be a lock. Mason is out of the running, obviously, and I don't fancy Williams vs. Was. So I guess it comes down to Bryant or Jennings. Thoughts?

I have Gonzalez paired with Manning. The big reason why I start him is for double points for TDs. Probably a better reason is that I don't have any other decent WRs.

I'd go with Jennings although it's against Chicago.

I think Jennings has more talent so I'd start him.

Two options:

Berrian or Breaston
Cooley or Scheffler

I have both Berrian and Cooley right now, since, at a minimum, they're both the #1's at their positions, but their numbers don't always stack up.

I don't know anything about Dallas vs TEs... I know that Denver should be throwing quite a bit, no?

I'd go with Cooley over Scheffler. Dunno about Berrian or Breaston.

You definitely need to upgrade your WRs but neither offer is good. Johnson is not worth a top QB with Culpepper behind center. And you would never put Henderson in your lineup. I would keep shopping them.

What the hell is the deal with Frank Gore this week. I'll be busy all day, and it's an f'n 4:15 game. I can go Addai at 1, or Mewelde Moore at 4(ugh) or Betts at 8.

I should win this week, but I can't run the risk of a late in the day gametime decision Gore scratch.

Im not sure what to do. Hence why I picked up Betts if I get word of the scratch in time.

Playing 3 WRs this week, Calvin, Jennings, Boldin., along with Steve Slaton as my other RB.

RE: Gore, from ESPN's site:

Sore (neck) is probable for Sunday's game.
Spin: He should start against the woeful Rams.

RotoWire | Fri, November 14
Gore's concussion has been reclassified as a neck strain by head coach Mike Singletary and Gore himself, with Singletary insisting that Gore would play Sunday, the Sacramento Bee reports.
Spin: Gore reported earlier in the day that he had suffered a concussion during Monday night's loss to Arizona, and that he was still experiencing headaches. Singletary refuted that claim, however. "Frank Gore is a football player," said Singletary. "He does not know what a concussion is." Later, he seemed confident that Gore would play Sunday. Gore would back up his coach later, assuring reporters that he indeed had a neck strain, and that the headaches he had been experiencing had gone away. Gore said he expects to practice Friday.

Is there any where that has the stat of how many fantasy points a team has allowed the other teams defense per week?

At this point I'm so tired of playing the guess the defense game, that I'm probably just going to load up on as many defenses that play the Raiders from here on out.

Who do I start?

Matt Ryan vs. DEN
Philip Rivers vs. PIT

I was planning on taking a shot with Ryan, but I'm down a good margin as the guy I'm playing had Favre and Moss playing on Thursday. Figuring Rivers is a safer bet?

I think Chris Chambers is back, so Rivers isn't a bad option, but Gates is also finally healthy and Jackson has come on strong. Ryan is probably a better bet against Denver's porous defense.

Brady Quinn, in his first NFL start, lit up the Denver defense. I'd go with Ryan if I had him.

I'd agree with Ryan.

Here are two decisions I have today:

DeSean Jackson or Antonio Bryant
Eagles D vs Cin or Miami D vs. Oak

Miami D vs Oak is who I'm playing. I own the same 2 def's.

Oak has been getting less than 10ppg since Lane got fired. Peezy's bound to get at least a sack or two as well.

Take the MIami D.

What about Jason Elam? Does anyone know if he's playing today?

Update on my decision:

Jackson - 6 vs. Bryant - 5 and I took Bryant
Eagles - 21 vs. Dolphins - 15 and I went Dolphins.

I went 0 for 2.

As for Rivers vs. Ryan in our scoring system it was Ryan 7 vs. Rivers 0.

I hate Ahman Greenand the Texans staff. It didn't matter today(I won by a shit ton) that he stole 12 more points from Slaton, but TD vultures are so fuckin annoying.

And I'm patting myself on the back for actually trusting Addai this week and being rewarded so handsomely.

I need 28 points from Lee Evans tonight after Rivers & Gates cratered for me yesterday.
