Losing Kikaha was huge. Andrew Hudson has been getting some sacks lately, but that's due to offenses gearing their protection towards Kikaha and Shelton. Once Kikaha went down, there went most of our pass rush. And with no pass rush, Hundley carved up our zone. I know most of our secondary are frosh, but they don't cover will within their zones, and staying in zone with no pressure on the QB is suicide.

With Shaq playing mostly offense, Peters booted from the team and Kikaha sidelined after the first UCLA series, the Husky D was simply missing too much talent. It also didn't help the Husky pass protection that they were down 3 starters on the OL. If Miles had more time in the pocket, there were open receivers downfield.

Oh well. UCLA seems to be putting things together right now. Problem is, ASU is also on a roll. UCLA is going to have to hope Arizona can knock off the Sun Devils.

Yeah, culture differences. Where I grew up, people went to Penn State and...well, that was about it. Ok, hyperbole aside - we had the "big 5" Philly schools like Temple, Villanova*, St Joe's, La Salle, and Penn. Temple typically does play Penn St., but I have no idea if Temple alumns give a fig about that game. Playing any of those other schools would be an absolute joke (the ones that even have football, not sure they all do), as would playing I-AA outfits like Bucknell, Duquesne, Lafayette, Lehigh. And I have no clue if any alumns would particularly care if they did play.

* ok, Nova at least played Syracuse, and even took them to 2OT. But...still. Maybe we can ask RedKingGold if he even cared should he ever come around these parts.
