Clark is diagnosed with hamstring soreness and is day to day but estimated to be out a week.

I send him to reserve and bring Wayne Holsopple up to have an arm available for our next game.

I also send Hudson to reserve and bring Q.V. Lowe up; should have done this before so I can swap my starters in and out to have another reliever available each game.

We win with a big signing. We sign 33 year old 1B Orlando Cepeda who played in the MLB last season (no success there but he played there). He became available after the Minnesota Twins released him.

I would like to get something out of him and maybe sell him to a higher level club if needed.

I bring Adams back down to my reserve level to make room for Cepeda. Making a few lineup changes, putting Cepeda at cleanup.

Our fans are very excited about the signing.

I don't know what just happened. The Baltimore Orioles just purchased Cepeda's contract and I guess I have no say in the matter.

We make an offer to a player that was cut from the Atlanta Braves. Catcher Jim Pagliaroni. He was hitting only .211 in just 6 games this season.

Last season he played with the Red Sox in the IL and he hit .344 with 11 home runs and led the league with 39 runs scored.

Chances are that we will lose him shortly but at least we make money off selling his contract.

We also offer a deal to second baseman Horace Clarke who was released by the Minnesota Twins ans has not played a game this season.

Last season he played for the Cocoa Astros in the CALL and hit .367.

Auburn is an odd team, they are filled by pitchers, only 4 position players. That is why they have the worst offense in the league.

Sadly I could barely beat them.

2B Horace Clarke signs with us. Going to hope he helps us win a game before he gets bought from us.

I offer Claude Osteen a two year contract. He was released by the Baltimore Orioles and hasn't played at all in the last year and a half.

We go on the road to face the South Bend Cubs (8-6). A win here would take us over .500; I just hope we still have a few runs left in us after last game.

Charles Hudson (3-2, 3.48) vs. Archie Reynolds (6-1, 1.94)

We face a tough pitcher and our starters are only 3 for 16 against him with 1 home run (Robson has 2 of the hits and the home run). They have not faced Hudson.

We are at home against the Salt Lake City Bees (7-8). The winner gets back to .500. We beat them in our first meeting this season on the road, we can sweep the season series with a win.

William Goble (3-2, 4.02) vs. Keith Trahan (3-3, 4.46)

Neither team's starters have faced the opponent's pitcher.

I have changed up the lineup a bit to shake things up.

We are on the road to face the Wichita Pilots (9-7). We need to find a way to start a streak so we can get back to, and go above, .500. Wichita is a game out of a playoff birth so this is big for both teams. Wichita has an injured starting pitcher so we may get a break today.

Charles Hudson (3-3, 3.53) vs. Manuel Giron (0-2, 5.21)

We have not faced Giron. They are 7 for 23 with 1 home run against Hudson. Giron is a knuckleball pitcher who has walked 19 batters in 20 innings.

Partly cloudy, 58 degrees and wind blowing in from center at 12 MPH.

We enter the today's game at .500 and technically just one game out of the final playoff position. We go on the road to face the Caldwell Cubs (10-8). In what is not a good sign our starters are 0 for 19 against Schmelz. They are only 5 for 20 against Hudson.

Claude Osteen has signed with us; a left hander that could be a starter or reliever from what I see. I bring Lowe down and him up. Going to give him a start next game and move Trahan to long relief.

We have a tough game coming up as we host the Colorado Rockies (15-4). We beat them in Colorado already so a win here would give us a season sweep.

They have not seen Osteen. Our starters are 7 for 21 with 1 home run against Howell.

It is clear and 73 degrees with a strong 20 MPH wind blowing in from left.

I offer free agent 35 year old left handed reliever Steve Hamilton a 5 year deal. From what I see he looks like he would be a major upgrade in the pen. He was cut by the Houston Astros of the MLB and had little success at that level. He looks like he would do quite well at our level.

Left handed reliever Steve Hamilton has agreed to a deal with us. He was cut by the Houston Astros after having little success that that level but I think he is closer material.

I was most of the way through the game and lost my write up with an accidental click.

We played at Camden with Claude Osteen starting. We got on the board early with 3 runs in the first and went on to a big 10-2 victory as we pounded out 21 hits.

Joe Solimine led the way with 4 hits but everyone on the team had at least 2 hits except Flodin, who did not have a het (even Osteen had 2 hits). Robson had an odd game going 2 for 6 but struck out 4 times.

Atlantic City 10 Camden 2
