It depends, what is it worth to you for me to say yes??

I thought it was just future pick trading? Are we doing all of it?

Well future pick trading for sure. But I was saying just all of it, because the game doesn't handle it well. If I trade a pick to you and then you trade it, the game won't distinguish which pick you're trading, which forces me to keep up and frankly, it's more accounting trouble than it's worth.

We can do a vote on regular draft pick trading. The future pick trading/future considerations business though, I think we've agreed has to go.

I think there has been a grass roots swelling for getting rid of it altogether. A movement I wholeheartedly support from my non-voting stumping positon.

P.S. Did anyone see my steals question? Basestealing is one of the foundations of my baseball philosophy, and I was really excited by the possibility we might tweak the numbers to not have so many caught stealing.

Future considerations are gone. For draft picks in general, lets put a temporary freeze on them right now (since it is the regular season anyways) and we can make sure there are no hard disagrees on this subject before the offseason. We can decide for sure then. (since it was kind of recently brought up today in the thread)

DC put in the numbers I threw out as a movement towards trying to fix base stealing in a gradual pace. I think what was loosely thought best is a two year study at the new numbers to see if it needs to be further adjusted beyond that or not.

The Board approved a tweak of the steals numbers, based on the study Alan did. Attempts (.885) Success (1.000) are the standard for this year and steals were changed from Often to Normal in-game, then we'll revisit the numbers after the season.

Awesome, thanks. I will be very interested to see how this turns out.

Or as I like to say, you are now allowed to take a lead off from first base in FOOL, previously an illegal move punished by an automatic out.

Hey guys, sorry about all of the confusion. Basically, during the last part of FA, I ended up signing everyone I put offers out on, which I did not expect to happen.

I should be under the cap when I sent the roster in, as I double checked the active roster payroll number. I don't have access to the game right now, but I know that I got under 65 before I sent in. Thanks for the heads up!

The export you sent in has you over by about under $200k. If you'd like me to make a move to get you under, I can do that..we're still waiting for Compton.

All done finally. My roster was 40/25 so I had to get to know everyone to figure out who to send to what minors (AA, AAA etc.). I made some quick changes to the line-up and the pitching staff. Truthfully I'm still getting to know the team and the game interface. Thanks for waiting.

I'll spend time this weekend going over my entire roster plus waiver wire, free agents-to-be and such to really start GMing... For now I'm just kind of going with the flow. My five and ten year plan is still being drawn up.

DC: did you get my export?

I got Compton's export. Columbus is still over the cap. Not by much, but over the cap is over the cap.

League financial report is what is used. It prevents teams from hiding major league salaries in the minors to avoid the cap.

If you move one of your guys with a minor league contract to the minors, it should free up 190k of cap space. if you move someone with a major league salary to the minors, it won't free up the space.

Ok, we need to get going. I've fixed the Columbus problem. They had a kid in Triple-A named Todd Smith who was riding a $200k contract that was being taxed under the cap that was putting them over and I released him, so we could keep going. I'll let the BoD figure out what sort of penalty will be assessed to Columbus after the season is over.

But we've waited long enough.

So let's get going.

BTW, DC, if I sign any of those FA rejects, please just place them in any available holes in the minors, from AA on down (I don't have room in AAA). Don't worry about adding them to minor league lineups (not that you would).

Jericho Scott went 4-0 with 50 strikeouts and no walks this year in Little League season. US Mid-Atlantic made the Little League World Series, but lost in the US Championship to the eventual Champions US Northwest.

GA two-run dinger. Very underrated player, even now. I still wonder what the Halos will do with him after the season. I find it hard to believe they will pick up his $14 M option, but I also find it hard to believe they would let him go.
