When the magic number becomes half of the games back and the lead team is not the Mets, its time to get the fat lady singing!

Frothing at mouth.

But I still have Quad City at the end of this season. That last series is looming huge right now!

Grats Graygoose, I know you wanted this badly. Great job, and I hope you do us proud in the FOOL CLassic, We haven't lost it since 1967 (when I lost it ironically enough), so keep the streak alive!

Nice job Baltimore and Valdosta...It was enjoyable to be so close. I'll try to prove that the CL is the league to be again.

And great seasons for ekcut and (again) Alan. Your teams were brilliant this year. Atlanta was just a little better.

7-12! Good grief!

Of course, if I take just one game, I force at least a tie.

Boston needs to lose one then, too. What happens with a three way tie?

Clinched a tie with QCY. They have to win out and take the tiebreaker. I can lose both, and Boston win both, and Boston would take it.

I wrote a while back that in the event of a tie, we'd do it like they did in the old school days. A best-of-5 game playoff to determine who would go to the World Series.

I'm deleting the all-star game, because it doesn't matter and because it gets in the way of scheduling and since these games are regular season games, I'll be simming them right now.

Wow! Who's on the mound? This is nuts!

And we made that huge deal last year. There are four former teammates on each team! Could we get John Bruce to face Pedro Castillo with the season on the line? Or is Pablo Gonzalez going against Victor Gonzalez? This is crazy (but fun).

You can add games to the schedule to avoid that. But no, the game isn't smart enough to figure it out. But I am.

Looks like it wouldn't matter which as Boston is lower team number and alphabetically so I would assume in a three way tie Boston would have won.

Home field is going to the team with a better head to head record against the other. Colorado is 12-10 against Boston, so they get home field. This is the setup. First to 3 wins it.

Five game series. I love it. Does Boston go with a five man or four man rotation? I think five. That could make a big difference here. I go five.

Huh, not sure why that didn't occur to me. Fair way to figure it. But, wow, how many of those games were tight? One close loss becomes a close win and this whole series turns around (homefield wise anyway).

gstelmack's gonna crap when he sees this.
