Im having a hard time deciding on who to give contracts to.... Anyone else having that trouble?? This years Crop of FA's are just as good as last years FA'S IMO.

I think i would have had a real shot to compete this year if Minor didnt screw me and become a FA agent again.... now i gotta dip into that 46 mil that i wouldnt have to dip into to use on him..... talk about dashing hopes quickly

Its because you only offered him a one year contract last season. I had actually offered him a two year contract worth more than your one year, but he chose you instead and then bolted. Teach you!!

Really after the season we had, it'll be interesting to see how this off-season goes, too.

It allows you to spend up to your cap. We had issues before where a teams budget was 57 million so your team could only spend 57 million instead of 65.

Hey DC, do me a favor and let me know if I set in an export for tonight please. I think I did last night, but I can't remember when I did it exactly so really I have no idea.

You can always just hit export to ftp again if you aren't sure. It won't break anything to send the same file in over top of the old one. The only issues you would have is if you made changes in game that you don't want to send in for some reason.

Well I can tell you that getting attached to my Fictional prospects is gonna kill me. As much as I tried to go out and "spread the wealth" this year to bring in vets to try and win, I couldnt bring myself to do it fully. I sat here and tried to convince myself too..... This game is just way too addicting...

Thanks DC and the rest of ya's for making it this way........

The goal was to rebuild with all those deals that I made 3 seasons ago and I want to see that through as long as I possibly can.... Its gonna hurt watching another average (at best) season though.... Especially when I could have put toether a pretty strong INF this year to go along with my young outfield......

Im sure im gonna kick myself after this season...... choices choices eh??

So I only threw out 11 offers on guys this year....

Good luck to all in the spending, looking forward to seeing who goes where.

Thanks. And yeah, I didn't want to switch over to FOOL only to switch back to the league I had it on and then switch back to FOOL again later, unless I had to. OOTP drives me nuts with how long it takes to do that stuff.

I was hoping Atlanta forgot all about the offseason in their drunken haze from winning the CL last season.

At least he only had 4-5 mil to spend, unless he released some guys. You had some money to play around with this time. 10 mil to you has to feel like 100 mil since you havent been able to spend anything the past few years.

I was $8mil under cap last year. I just can't compete with the teams spending $15+ mil on free agents. I've been trying!

I did make a few offers this offseason. I did not release anybody as there is really nobody I would release and risk not finding a better or cheaper replacement for.

This coming year may be the last for SP Gabriel Prado as his ratings have decreased quite a bit the past few seasons. That being said last year was his best year since he came to Atlanta, going 15-4 with a 2.74 ERA.

I am mainly going to have the same team next year, but I don't expect all my guys to perform as well as they did this past year. So my chances of winning the CL are not that great.

My main goal this offseason was locking in reigning CL MVP Matthews and 3rd in MVP voting Vazquez. I locked them both in for a few years.

Good Luck to all.

Thanks for the welcomes. I was attracted to NY because it did appear to have a moment in the sun in its past and it would be nicer to restore a franchise's pride than run Colorado into the ground while I get a feel for the whole league.

I figure I will be active (export) this week but not likely to be competitive until I have the weekend to study everything and really get a grip.

PM here for trade inquiries.
