Alan, I think the issue he has is that it sorts the players WITH the MRs, while all those guys will not sort with them. It could potentially cause the AI to insert the guy into a game when you don't want him pitching at all.

I looked at that particular guy and he didn't have any ability at pitcher, so long as he doesn't, it won't happen. And if he's not slotted anywhere in the pitcher order, he won't be thrown into a game.

I'll look at it in a bit to see if I can figure out why it happened.

Yeah, sorry.. I guess I didn't do a good job of explaining my post. I was just saying there are alot of guys like that in the database with both hitting and pitching values. The game won't throw him in as a pitcher if you don't put him in your pitching staff anywhere, or vice versa. Possibly might be exceptions in oddball scenerios (maybe a 20 inning game or something, I don't know)... Either way OOTP loves giving many people ratings as a hitter when they are a pitcher or vice versa just for fun. Just a quirk of the game, and nothing to worry about too much.

Edit: And most of these people show up with the reliever or starter or closer views because of how that view is configured in the game. It isn't necessarily the smartest in determining whom to show always.

Alrighty, thanks, that was my major concern.

I know the game likes to give pitching ratings to position players at times, but I'd never seen it actually filter a position player as a pitcher like this.

You can start over again if you import from FTP, rather than export from FTP. You won't have any offers, because I just sent up the file that came from last night.

thanks, doesn't seem to be working for me, nevermind. i didn't want to make Anthony Payton an offer afterall as i got some other holes to fill and with me offering him a huge sum of money it just prevents me from going hard after guys i really need on my team.

Click both of the import options. I did each one like 3 times before I saw that it finally worked for me.

nah, doesn't work. i seem to have to battle OOTP9 a lot to do some of the things that others do with ease. not a very user friendly game. like i still don't have all the logos for most of the teams for some reason cuz the file i got from add-on central doesn't seem to install properly. no big whoop.

I believe you should also be able to quit the game, then expand the FOOL.lg.tar.gz file from your import_export directory (which should be the data from last night's sim) back into the FOOL.lg directory.

Not sure this would work. I usually just revert to a backup of my league directory if I commit changes I don't like.

(But, yeah, if you just want to not offer at all on Anthony, simply withdraw the offer and export again.)
