The HTML is updating right now. Since I am doing that within game, it should finish at some point next Monday. Heading to bed. Good luck with the draft lists.

Remember both the draft and spring training tomorrow night. I will also publish the current salary cap figures tomorrow night in case any team needs to cut players to get below the cap.

Grrrr....

I'm guessing the tiebreaker in a non-personality league is record then when two contracts that are the same are considered.

Stupid 'Pooners.

No, it is not win-loss record. I know that for sure

Youve been around long enough to know that the game loves the Pooners and MLC'S...... Also the fish and cheap women up here help

on a real note, I have no idea why it happens, but I seem to win on MLC'S something like 70% of the time and im sure a few would argue that the percentage is even higher.

I still think it has something to do with the last tiebreaker being team number. So if none of the earlier tiebreakers on the contract offers are met, that is the one it defaults to.. Since Hartford is the lowest team number in the league.

That is just my guess though, and might be completely wrong!

Inside of the game they hide a bit more, but if you go to a web report that has teams on it, you can see them easily there. They are used in the game as well, but it is a bit more "hidden" there. Each team has an "ID" though.

Hartford is 267, Toronto 268, Atlanta 269, etc.

Ugh. I hate it when things like this come down to some stupid number the programmer decided to use that has NO bearing on the game, but is stuck and will always give that team the advantage. If it comes down to this, just do a random number pick. More lovely German programming I guess.

Don't take what I say for scripture. I could be wrong. It is just what I think is the case.. and at that only a final determinant if nothing else is met. I don't know any better than you or anyone not named Markus if this is actually the case though.

I do know though in the case of a three way tie for a division title, the two teams chosen for a playoff game are based on either team number or alphabetical (I don't remember which) , which is even worse. Luckily that does not affect us, since we won't let that happen.

It doesn't do that anymore. Now it does a three-team playoff. There is some question about what happens when you have all three teams end up going 1-1 against each other, but I believe it schedules another game, though I'm not sure how.

I was happy when I discovered you could just schedule your own tiebreakers.

I am here, and willing to do discuss trades if anyone is down. We have less than two hours. I still have a lot of pitching. Please see post #130 for a breakdown of what I have and am looking to get in return.

Just send me a PM, and you should hear back from me shortly.

To Alan and the league, my apologies, but I may need a few minutes. I have been under attack in the Werewolf game, and it has cut drastically into my draft prep time. Maybe 5-10 mins extra, if I could.

If not, I have exported for spring training.

I actually am just getting to PMs here myself that owners have sent me. Go ahead and take the time, just post when you are ready. To everyone who sent me a PM.. I'm reading those now.

It is no problem, I likely will need 5-10 minutes myself to follow through with some PM requests that someone had.

I think I did this last season as well. I get so wrapped up in the draft prep that I forget about the other half of the night.

I'm ready now.

Sure, do you want to just set it and export it up instead? might be faster/easier.

I got my #4, #8, #22 and #25 before my list ended. All relievers, including Martland, maybe the most talented pitcher in the draft (too bad he doesn't have a lot of END).

But I probably would have preferred going another direction with my second and third round picks after nabbing Martland with the first pick.

I forget, other than the "And/Or" option, is there a way to tell the computer not to take a position for a bit after getting one early? I doubt it (or if there is, it probably doesn't work...).

Well you picked up 3 very good relievers there. I wouldn't complain too much, I keep getting thwarted in my efforts to draft quality pitching.

I wouldn't worry too much, barring a miraculous spate of potential bumps, many second rounders and everyone 3+ will never get a whiff of the majors in any significant way. And you can't draft random potential bumps anyway. So unless you want your A level team to be a perennial contender, the draft after rnd 2 isn't that significant anyway in my opinion.
