Friday, September 20th, 2019: Romero's 27-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Héctor Romero of the Chico Rebels came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 1 at-bat. That put a quick end to his 27-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Chico dropped the game to the New York Heroes 10-5.

In a post-game comment Romero told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over."

This year Romero is hitting .325 with 190 hits, 26 home runs, 123 RBIs and has scored 99 runs.

Wow. It sure has been a while. I had no idea this team would be able to sustain success this season. I guess the couple of pitching acquisitions I was able to make made the difference. Now to knock off one of the masters!

Thursday, September 26th, 2019: Harpooners Colón Takes RL Batting Crown
The Republic League batting race ended with Hartford's José Colón on top with a .379 average. The Harpooners right fielder was officially named the winner today. For the season he totaled 239 hits, 43 home runs with 123 RBIs and 120 runs scored. At the award ceremony Colón told reporters the key to his hitting success this season. "I stayed focused and tried to get a hit in every at-bat."

Thursday, September 26th, 2019: Montreal's Orlando Takes Home CL Batting Honors
2019 was a very good year for Aberto Orlando of the Montreal Majestics. He ended the regular season with the number one batting average in the Continental League. The Majestics third baseman took the title with a .354 average. In his award-winning season he banged out 213 hits, 13 home runs and 84 RBIs while playing in 162 games.

The new file is up! Thanks to all for joining me tonight for FOOL-PM baseball. I had fun and hope everyone else did as well. We saw a historic night, with the most wins by a team in a season, the most Home runs by a player in a season and the second longest hitting streak in league history!

Thanks for the confirmation! I do weird things with the file only because there were cases of OOTP sites being hacked due to some person downloading a league file, sniffing the ftp password from it and getting root server access. I do things to prevent that, but it requires some manual changes every sim. So of course when I uploaded the file last Friday, I forgot to do one thing, which caused the pain with the exports today as well as the file now.

Good news is once you download this file, it is all fixed again

I am not at home today so can't check it from within the game. When I download it from the link:LEAGUE FILE it works ok for me, I can download the entire thing. Try that if it is not working for you in game.

My pitching still stinks apparently, but my hitting is also sliding down. I did not have a single pitcher hit double-digit wins. May have to do something drastic to overhaul this roster, but not sure that's possible in this league.
