Yup.

I like home field advantage in England.

Congrats to all the playoff teams. And good luck to all of them except New York (and whoever I would face in the Classic, should I luck into that...).

For the second time in FOOL's 62 year history, we have a hitter win the triple crown!!

Tuesday, September 26th, 2023: Baltimore Star Takes Triple Crown
Héctor Romero of Baltimore roared out of the gate and never looked back. The 31-year-old powerhouse slammed 51 home runs, had 140 RBIs and batted a solid .327 on the year to grab the Continental League Triple Crown, the 1st one in FOOL history.

"Boy, what a year!" he exclaimed. "There are plenty of talented guys down through the years who never won one... and here I am with a Triple Crown!"

And Quero of course wins his customary Pitching triple crown:

Tuesday, September 26th, 2023: Montreal Pitcher Triple Crown Winner
Few men in baseball history have won the pitching triple crown. Emmett Quero of the Montreal Majestics joined this elite company today when the season ended, officially making him the league leader in ERA, K's and wins.

Quero put up a 25-6 record, an ERA of 2.54 and 308 strikeouts this season. He started 41 times, walked 43 and held opposing clubs to a .211 average.

Quero is the odds-on favorite to capture the Gabriel Prado Award this year.

80-54 after April 30. That's a good run.

All right, time to head to the gym, get some dinner, jump on some police cars for the Lakers, and then go home. See you guys in a bit.

High five to the playoff teams!

Pretty sure my rotation let me down this season. I wasn't able to land any starters I went after and was forced to start some questionable talents. Still love my chances to compete for the foreseeable future.

By time off do you mean this weekend or the next 6 seasons of lossdom? I don't think Montreal is dead just yet.

I think Alan has to let the AI pick for you.

I just meant this playoff season. And no, he doesn't have to let AI pick. The whole point of having Alan run my team is keeping them from being stuck on AI for the next month!

You'd have the best bullpen when you get back.

Gah, I knew I was in trouble when I read that Erwin Silander had an 8 ERA. He was supposed to be one of my better pitchers, with a sub-5 ERA the last 3 years. This year he ends up 6.15. Sigh.

However, with a 5.80 starter ERA, we were only 5th in the CL...

I can't believe I thought Romero was going to start declining. I really fail at this game sometimes...
