The server is acting like a dog in heat again, so getting exports is being a bit problematic. Give me a few minutes to get them all loaded here.

Brennan Ward had a streak carry over from last season that ended early into this season.

Saturday, April 6th, 2030: Rancheros Chill Ward's Hot Streak
Brennan Ward's 24-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Harpooners 5-3 setback to the Rancheros. Ward went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it.

"I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Ward said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight."

To date this year Ward is batting .304 with 2 home runs.

Sunday, April 14th, 2030: Santana Cracks 3 HRs for Colorado
Luis Santana went on a hitting rampage at Ballpark of Colorado today and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Rancheros to a 10-6 victory over the Hammersmith Hooligans.

The Colorado first baseman collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs.

After his three-home run game he said this to the press: "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too."

L. Santana hit a two-run home run off D. Retter in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off M. Bowness in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off M. Gabriel in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

For 2030 Santana is batting .320 with 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

So I`ve been signing all the best players I can that will accept a minor league contract...

Despite the number of years he's been in the league, Juan Sierra still gets excited when he puts together a quality stretch like he had in April. The 31-year-old starter for New York was named Republic League Pitcher of the Month earlier today.

He collected 6 wins and no losses with 68 strikeouts in his 7 starts, putting up a fine 0.53 ERA in 51 innings of work.

Wednesday, May 1st, 2030: Continental League Names Rookie of Month
Cong Che was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 24-year-old left fielder definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen April's Continental League Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting.

In 28 games Che batted .345 for Baltimore, slapping 41 hits in 119 at-bats with 8 home runs, drove in 27 runs and scored 22 times.

That just makes me sick. Possibly the dumbest move I've made was letting him go. Imagine him up there in the middle of my lineup with my other two smashers.

Yes, that ERA is not a typo for Sierra. Thank the people who commented that Sierra was not very dominating last season.

I don't remember, it was a few seasons ago. He had a small downward bump, and I thought it was the start of an early slide, so I let him walk. He's done nothing but continue to hit since signing with Boston. I've looked forever to find another OF as good as he's been. I think I might have finally found one, oddly enough a former Settler.

But this year is just nuts. I think Quero had a start like this a while back and ended up around 1.50. Let's see if he can keep it under 1. That would be fun.

Every now and then there is something that happens which I have no idea how it even happened... This is one of those.. Somehow New York's #2 Middle Relief guy whom is not listed anywhere suggesting that he should start and has a 30 endurance got his first chance to start of the year... What does he do? Well, I'll let the FOOL news tell you:

Wednesday, May 1st, 2030: Chico No Match for Parker
It was a dismal game for the Rebels with Roger Parker on the hill. The New York starter was in top form and made it a long day for Chico with a 8-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 2 hits and piled up 6 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.

So far this season, Parker has a 1-0 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 6 relief appearances, logged 20.1 innings and fanned 17 batters while fashioning a 3.10 ERA and allowing the opposition a .191 batting average.

José Santana battered Republic League pitchers all May and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award.

Thus far this year Santana is hitting .330 with no home runs, 31 RBIs and 38 runs scored.

Saturday, June 1st, 2030: Newcomer Honored by Continental League
Fa-tang Le earned May's Rookie of the Month honors in the Continental League for last month's performance. The boyish Baltimore first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.

This season Le is swinging the bat at a .265 pace. He has hit 12 home runs and scored 29 times, while driving in 43. His on-base percentage is .342 and he has played in 57 games.
