Monday, June 1st, 2037: Edmonton's Starter Receives CL Pitching Award
Despite the number of years he's been in the league, Kieran Browne still gets excited when he puts together a quality stretch like he had in May. The 37-year-old starter for Edmonton was named Continental League Pitcher of the Month earlier today.

He collected 5 wins and 1 loss with 30 strikeouts in his 6 starts, putting up a fine 3.49 ERA in 49 innings of work.

So far this season Browne has a 5-6 record with a 4.61 ERA.

Mine has been a problem for the past two days but I'm on my new computer in a different room in the house and, while that shouldn't make a difference if it's a problem on the site's end, I'm not having problems tonight.

I do that on occasion, then I catch myself. I try to set it to ML level only, but it always resets when I shut the game down.

I just started looking at the playercard page (the one that looks like the html from within the game) when I want to be sure about those type of things.

Yeah, but we expect it of Okamoto.

Speaking of "where the heck is he", what happened to Eric's Mr Rodgers? Surprised not to see his name yet.

Heh, heh, I like Velez. He reminds me of Travis Carey. Carey won a BOM last year, I think. Surprised the hell out of me (FTR, Velez is a better overall hitter than Carey).

The Betencourt/Rodger debate continues.
Rodgers had the early lead, but Betencourt sure has been mowing them down in a hurry lately!

Hi folks!

Sorry I'm late, but Mondays are gonna be bad for me from here on out. I'll have scouts with my older son now, and den/pack meetings are every Monday. I'll still try to show up late though.

I'd like to say thanks to Chief for jinxing me. Way to pick me #1 in the RL this season!

It will be a debate for a long time, I think. Love to see stories like this, where a decision is so close, and you get to see how it plays out over so many seasons.

I was amazed at how great Rodgers looked coming into the league. Glad to see Betancourt doing what he can to try to catch up.

My Dingalings suck in fantasy football, and I am normally good at it. Hopefully I can turn it around.

Monday, June 8th, 2037:Hit #2000 for Cyclones Roy
He made it!
Ryan Roy got hit #2000! The Cyclones third baseman got his milestone hit at Sony Park against Newark. But it wasn't enough to bring home the victory. Tokyo was beaten by the Terriers 5-3.

Roy's reaction to his accomplishment was nonchalant. He doffed his batting helmet to acknowledge the fans, who were chanting his name.

His manager said, "Ryan doesn't pay any attention to individual statistics, the only thing he cares about is winning. He will be more concerned that we lost the game."

Roy finished the game with 2 hits in 4 at-bats.

His career numbers show Roy is batting .286 with a total of 292 home runs.

Who's run-n-gun in the fantasy league? I'm .08 points behind, and he's got Ronnie Brown going tonight vs Joseph Addai for me. Should be interesting.

I'd like to say thanks to Chief for jinxing me. Way to pick me #1 in the RL this season!

Oh, that's how it works?

Both of these occured on the same day, so I don't know which occured first. The 20th and 21st members of the FOOL 400 Home Run club!

Saturday, June 20th, 2037: Santana Wallops #400
It was an historic day in the life of Luis Santana. The 35-year-old Ann Arbor first baseman recorded the 400th homer of his career in the Winged Lingerines 18-9 triumph over the Hammersmith Hooligans.

In the clubhouse after the game, Santana told BNN, "I was just looking for a ball to drive... and I got one."

A check of his lifetime stats shows Santana has a career .306 average with 2011 hits, 372 doubles, 13 triples, 401 home runs and 1280 RBIs. To date he has scored 1057 runs, walked 599 times and stolen 1 bases.

Saturday, June 20th, 2037: Sergio Luján Hits #400
400 home runs is a lot of home runs to hit. It's a number that very few players reach. Today Sergio Luján became a member of that exclusive club. He belted it at Charm Ballpark against the Edge. But sometimes milestone homers don't win the game. The powerful Baltimore second baseman got all of the headlines, but Edmonton came away with the victory. They beat the Charm 7-2.

During the postgame interview he told the press, "It's a big relief to get it over. I tried not to think about it, but it's kind of hard when you have a huge sign on the scoreboard staring at you every time you step up to the plate. The home run was nice, but I would have preferred to win the game."

His batting totals for the game showed 1 hit in 3 at-bats, 1 home run and 1 run batted in.

The hardworking and dedicated Luján also said, "I'll celebrate a little with my family tonight but not too much. This is not the last home run I will hit. I think I have a lot baseball left in me and have other goals. I'll get back to work tomorrow."

During his career Luján has notched 2011 hits and a .322 average with 400 home runs and 1173 RBIs.

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2037: Hsi Fires Shutout in Chico Win
Hyannis bats were ice cold today at Rebels Ballpark. Chico's Kuei-lin Hsi chilled them down with a 9-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 30-year-old hurler allowed 2 hits while striking out 10 and walking 2.

This season Hsi has compiled a 7-5 mark with a 3.96 ERA in 14 starts.
