The Czech's are missing Baros' pace big time - their attacking is limited wihtout the option of the ball over the top/into the channels.

This is a great opportunity for USA to get a result if they can show any creativity in attack. Unfortuantely there is none at the moment. Although as I hit post, so does Reyna

My heart jumped on that shot.

At least we are getting some good attacks going.

Is it just me, or are Nedved's eyes WAY to close together on his face? How does he have any depth perception?

Nope - two defensive lapses, the first more than the second. Still not out of it though.

well the second was a shit clear, you can't clear it low to the middle like that, it's gotta go high+out or you hafta be on the guy the second he touches it. not give him a touch to the inside to setup a shot. first one keller could have done nothing about.

I must say, Eddie Pope is playing great, and the USA's set pieces look very inspired.

Short corner with both guys heading to attack on the same line. Not hard to cover that.

The good folks of West, Texas are probably happy with the results so far.

I agree, still think the first was worse thugh: no left side of defence, and what the guy who was supposed to be marking Koller was doing I haven't a clue

Well, that might give our defense a bit of a break for the 2nd half.

Yeah..Beasley has sucked so far....looks lost....and the short corners are dumb, imo.

Still another half and two more games to go. No sense in jumping off the wagon yet.

gotta at least get a point here though or you won't go through without some significant help, and more importantly if we don't get a point here even if we make it through we're headed for a date with brazil via being the 2nd place team

I'm to pull out the seldom used 1-1-8 formation to try and score some goals.

Seriously, Beasley looks awful out there. Bring on Dempsey at the half, or maybe Eddie Johnson.
