Whatever play RMU tried to run at the end there just took WAY too long.

This game leaves a real sour taste in my mouth over this tournament. Hope NCAA takes action.

Wow - great win for ODU. The won the same way they have all season - good rebounding, tough defense, and inside play.

I don't know what's worse - Murray State's half court offense or Vanderbilt's free throw shooting. It's been a pretty ugly game so far.

Last time Hanrogody scored 4 points in a game (that he played in)?

March 16, 2007 ... when #11 seed Winthrop upset #6 seed Notre Dame 74-64

As a Villanova fan who watched the whole game, I can affirmatively say that Robert Morris got screwed on a couple of calls.

Please go to commercial or some highlights or something, this Baylor-SHS game is brutal.

RM had 31 fouls and Nova shot 40 free throws. I believe every point Nova scored in the final 5 minutes was on free throws. Some huge calls went against RM on horrible calls (JimGA mentions one earlier in the thread).

Maybe these refs were just horrible and RM got really unlucky to not get any of their bad calls in their favor. But the game really had a fishy feel to it. Was waiting for a cutaway to a slick Italian guy in the stands staring at one of the officials everytime they blow a whistle. In any event, these guys have no business officiating college sports.

Why does the guy have to be Italian? That's racialist!

I liked that stat CBS showed on Murray St. Their starting five all has an average PPG between 10.3 and 10.6, with their sixth man averaging 9.6 PPG.

Although they didn't beat anyone good, Murray State won 30 games this year. I think they should have been an 11 or 12 seed. Really tough matchup for Vandy.

I haven't watched it, but is Vandy running a zone? Murray had a ton of trouble in the semis of their tournament against a 2-3 zone and was surprised they didn't see more of it in the Championship game.

Bill Simmons is doing a running chat of the games, with some pretty entertaining polls to vote on. My favorite so far:

In what country will Luke Harongody play professionally next year?

Luxemborg ( 7% )
Greece ( 37% )
Russia ( 11% )
Iran ( 10% )
Puerto Rico ( 7% )
Kazakhstan ( 28% )

Maybe CBS could switch to one of the 3 games within 2 points that are going on right now instead of showing us Kansas State blowing out North Texas? CBS never seemed to be this horrible before.

Almost all of the game choices are regional.

The switching doesn't really happen until the second half.

love watching a big men who can score and is featured in college, it´s so rare... Samhan with a great game so far for the Saint Mary´s aussies with 16/7. Delladova needs to get his act together though, crap game so far.
Weird game overall, Richmond leads despite having pulled in 1 whooping rebound at the 7:30 mark. True battle of the systems, both teams polar opposites in their approach.
Lets see how long saint mary´s can stay committed to feeding the beast inside, how long he can stay fresh and on the court (playing with 2 fouls in the first half)

edit : JInxed it, fuck ... Why did they leave him in ???

This is why these are the 2 greatest days in US sports. 2 OTs and 1 buzzer beater today.

Awesome stuff. I picked Murray St. in the Pick 5. Woot!

Really happy for Issac Miles. Missouri kid who's had a winding road to this point in his career, but he lead Murray State to the upset today.
