Correa Is CL's Rookie of the Year
Wednesday, November 13th, 2165: 2165 was an impressive year for Noblesville left fielder Pedro Correa and it was capped off today with the announcement that he has been named the winner of the Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

Correa compiled a .281 batting average and a .366 on-base percentage this season. In 157 games he piled up 151 hits, 21 home runs, 72 RBIs and 91 runs scored.


RL's Top Rookie Named
Wednesday, November 13th, 2165: League officials announced today that George Gibbs of the Hartford Riverhawks has been selected the 2165 Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award in the Republic League.

The talented center fielder finished his first year batting .326 with 7 home runs, 58 RBIs and 129 runs scored.

Gabriel Prado Award Announced, Winner is Moore
Friday, November 15th, 2165: With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Gothams ace Tanner Moore had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Continental League Gabriel Prado Award today.

The veteran Baltimore hurler posted a record of 16 wins and 5 losses this year with a 2.62 ERA. In 32 starts he struck out 170 and walked 33 in 226.2 innings.


Colorado Pitcher Racks Up Gabriel Prado Award
Friday, November 15th, 2165: The Gabriel Prado Award for 2165 has been presented and the Republic League winner is Lucien Martel of Colorado.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Martel. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Rancheros star told reporters.

Martel excelled with an impressive 16-10 record in 32 starts. In 244.1 innings he yielded 218 hits and 44 walks, while striking out 143 and compiling a fine 2.65 ERA.

Super Season, Johnson Wins Hideaki Tanaka Award
Saturday, November 16th, 2165: George Johnson went on a season-long hitting spree against Continental League pitchers and captured the Hideaki Tanaka Award for 2165.

The Noblesville first baseman battered the opposition for 206 hits, 41 doubles, 3 triples, 38 home runs, 122 RBI and 114 runs scored. He hit .336 and posted a .423 on-base percentage.

Saturday, November 16th, 2165: What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2165 Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Republic League. It had already been a very special season for Hartford's Víctor Moreno, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake.

All season long Víctor Moreno gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .312 as he collected 199 hits, 38 doubles, 5 triples, 36 home runs and 138 RBIs.
