These were all surprisingly easy choices for me given how far we are into the tournament

Only hard one for me was Quiet Riot vs. EMF. The last match up, as much as I like Bust A Move, I reference or belt out Relax on a much more regular basis, hence my vote for Relax.

I agree, I remember thinking early in the bracket how weak the K and L pods were. I bet you could find some songs in the tougher brackets that were eliminated in round 1 or 2 that could still be alive if they had drawn these two pods originally.

Just an FYI the Frankie Goes To Hollywood title is missing from the poll

It's clear from the YT link though, and Two Tribes, Power of Love and Welcome to The Pleasuredome would have all got my vote in this matchup anyway, so no dramas

This was the easiest pod to pick.

Agree some songs in here got an easier draw.

That I bracket matchup is just awful. How either of those two songs remains in the tournament at this point is baffling to me.

Then again, I'm already on record that I have "completely lost all respect for this board's musical taste."

Dexy vs Dolby - these contemporary songs came in with very different voting results...Dexy had about 20 more total votes before this round and the way the scoring broke down this held true to form...

Quiet Riot vs EMF - at first blush I thought this would be closer, but QR is getting over 70% of the vote while EMF is under 60%. EMF may have had a tougher road, but over 10% is too much to expect. When I first glaced at the J bracket my guess was EMF would win, but it wasn't close. What was close was the vote total between QR and Dexy, and that held true through the first 4 rounds. Next round will be Dexy's 129 votes vs QRs 127...

Big Bopper vs Basil - Basil has been really strong to this point, but Bopper put up a good fight. At the start of the tournament I thought Bopper had a reasonable shot to win the pod. Of course I HATE Mickey, so I probably undersold its popularity.

Young MC vs Frankie - here is a situation where Young MCs tough road hid how much support he'd get. Coming into this match up, Frankie had 10 more votes and was close to 75% selected vs Bust A Moves 67%...again the two winners have similar vote totals in this round and they have similar vote results overall. Next round has Basil's almost 64% of the vote matching up with Young MCs 63%...

Weird, I was the tiebreaking and final vote there. And it wasn't an easy choice.
