I will be traveling all next week and likely playing this a lot. Does anyone want to put together a list of RR3 players on iOS? So we can add a good chunk of fofc players on leader boards for races? Much of my enjoyment so far has been trying to overcome some of fm or Brian's times and races

Still stuck with my starting Silvia. I take it we can't sell cars? I'm using full assists for now and generally winning or coming 2nd without any trouble

no, you can't sell cars. Once you buy it, it stays in your garage...

Anyone have a tip on the best earning race? I only got like 3500 for a mclaren head to head which seems crazy low. Or are all the races about the same reward?

cups are the best earners, don't remember a specific one though, but they are also the longest, and the ones where you're the most likely to have quite a few repairs to make on your car, that is if you drive bumper cars style like me

oh, and I hit 187 MPH with that Porsche concept car one of the long straights at Indy yesterday. That was fast

Haven't spent a ton of time with the game, been distracted by Block Fortress, but it's been fun trying to best FM's times on the early races...

Thanks - I almost never win cups so maybe I hadn't noticed! If I don't drive across the lawn and get in 1st on the first turn, I'm always ending up in 4-8.

Did you guys pay the in game coins for that final level engine tuning? I think I should be saving them for the better cars later in the game

nah, I didn't use the coin for that engine upgrade and ended being able to afford the 150 gold coins (helmets?) for the porsche. Will keep on doing that and see if I think I can get to 400 for that other high end "gold coin only" car, or if I decide to settle for the McLaren that goes for 65...

I've discovered the horrors of the freemium model - every time I drink too much, I get impatient and buy a car pack. Woke up this morning with the "best value" one with the Porsche, Audi, etc.. Bought the mclaren on friday night because it was 20% off. Don't even want those cars for those categories. I think EA has a money maker here.

You race against real people but time shifted. So it records my lap, where I move to corner etc, then you race that recording.
It defeats a difficulty system because its you facing any skill level. Some of my elimination challenges want me to get 6.4 miles, even though 2nd place is half that.

After racing a few more times I figured that was the case - very fun game.

remember that some of us started a good week before you. I have 11 cars in my garage, some of them are upgraded quite a bit...

For now I'm trying to gather the whole 633k to get that Porsche in the weekly challenge. Will be tough to get the money before they change the challenge but I think it's feasible. Up to a tad over 200k now and if I don't make it, well I'm gonna buy 2-3 cars at 150-200k apiece

I set a new RR3 personal best today. 13 repairs required after a race. The owner of my racing team has requested that I kindly reinstate all of the assists on the Shelby.

The new app Burner is crazy. I only own a cell phone and I hate giving it out to stores or for eBay purchases where the seller is shipping FedEx or UPS and needs to have my phone number on the shipping label.

Burner allows you to purchase a temporary burner number in your area code for a set period of time. I paid $5 for a number that's good for three months or 220 texts/75 minutes, whichever comes first.

You can't be your own Stringer Bell, though, since the app developer tracks all activity and will turn it in to the police if necessary. Still I'm using the number as a barrier so that I don't have to give out my actual number and it works really well. If a call or text comes in to my Burner number, I get a notification and I can answer/read it if necessary. I don't really plan on using the number but it's a nice layer of protection. I'm sure online daters and job searchers will love it, too.

If you want to check it out, I have a referral code for 2 free credits, which are like tokens that allow you to get more minutes or extend a Burner line. Just enter ANRGBUIV as a promo code.

hehe, I was slammed sideways yesterday and did almost as much damage to my car.

Then I raced in one of the oddest kind of race, an endurance race at the oval of Indy. I finished second with 25 miles or so while the 1st place had 47 miles The weirdest part was that the cars to pass, and which give you extra time, would appear on the track in front of me, kind of driving slowly but not only that, driving four wide. So I would come in at maybe 130-140 mpg and I'd have to find a hole or go to the grass. Was a long race...

Yes I pretty much do not enjoy the endurance races. I think my favorite are the cup races and they seem to pay the best too

it's the 14th tier of the third series, I think I was driving the Nissan 370Z.

I also hate Southbank in cups, it's just too crazy to drive back the field when you start 22nd...

As for endurance races, I enjoy them, when I know I have the time for them. I mean, it' like a free ride where you get to pass slow driving cars for a while then it gets harder. It's what's as close to an open practice lap as there is...

I loved that track in forza, it's awful when you're trying to pass 21 other cars.
