So.........What are you getting?

X-mas time is here. What is on your wish list,or what do you know you are getting?

My wish list has a new laptop on it,one that has enough juice to let me play CM and FOF on it

No money this year, so the kids get all the presents. I'd settle for the DVD of Office Space and maybe the XBox Grand Theft Auto double pack.

I'm getting another new video card along with Max Payne 2 and Call of Duty.

My 2yo loves trucks so he's getting one of the battery operated trucks he can sit on and drive. I always wanted one when I was little, but way back then they were insanely expensive.

The wife is getting a printer/copier/scanner combo along with the shelves she's been dying to have.

I just got the bulk of my Christmas gifts a little while ago.

Two framed Mort Kunstler prints, "Gods and Generals" and "Sharpsburg War Council" and a third print by John Paul Strain ("Never Against Virginia")

Thankfully, they were nabbed at a half price sale.

Also, ordered a couple of tabletop games over the weekend, "Roller Rumble" from plaay.com and a copy of the Trunzo's out-of-print "The Checkered Flag" NASCAR game.

I am just basically going to get some PS2 games, DVDs, and a picture or two, or three if I could kind Winslow's anywhere. Nothing big this year, except for the SB gift I guess.

This is the first christmas in a while where I have no idea what I am getting. I just told everyone to get me what they thought I'd like. I didn't really feel like I needed anything, so I didn't ask for anything. Sure, there are things I'd like to have (DVD writer, extra hard drive), but nothing that I felt like asking for.

I don't really care what I get.

My mother sent me some clothing via UPS today. My first Christmas away from family.

It will be strange, but interesting getting up on Christmas day with no one around and nothing to do.

Yeah, it's a weird feeling. I remember my first one like that. Kind of lonely.

Dola.

I'm getting a couple of games (Victoria, CM 03/04) I've been wanting for a while, a couple of boxed sets (The James Bond Collections), and some books.

We're spoiling the boys heavily...among other things they're getting a couple of GameCubes

Going to be kind of a tough Christmas at the WussGawd household overall though. Mrs. Gawd's mother passed away on December 7.

dola,

Materially, I'm not getting much... Otherwise, we're maybe two, three weeks away, or maybe less, from welcoming the fourth member of our family... Not many gifts are worth that much. Nope, scratch that. NO gifts are worth that much

I have no idea. This Christmas is more for the kids than for the wife or myself. I can't even remember what I asked for, other than "Secret Weapons Over Normandy" for the PS2. I'd be happy if that's the only thing I get.

Cool Christmas gift.

I had one 18 years ago that tops them all. Mrs. Gawd and I got engaged on Christmas Day, 1985.

Frog, between $350 and $400 in that particular condition (which is graded 6 out of 10). I picked it up from one of my favorite dealers on eBay - for a steal because it was posted in the wrong category.

I have no idea. Last year my wife surprised me with a digital camera. This year my wife and sister are "colluding" on a gift. I've threatened to take them before Congress to get rid of their anti-trust exemption, but to no avail. They claim that I'm tough to shop for. Supposedly I buy myself anything that they would give me. I know I am getting a Best Buy gift card. This is my first Christmas in San Diego with the in-laws. We've been with my family for the last 8 years.

Turbo Texas Tournament edition from my brother.

Initially I was supposed to be getting a George Brett jersey from the wife but I think that ended up getting pushed back for a birthday after sinking some money in the house over the last couple of months.

Well, I've had to patch my inflateable sheep 3 or 4 times in the last year or so, ever since I started answering all those "increase your manhood" e-mails I've been getting, so I'm hoping for a replacement with a more robust channel.

If not, I'll settle for that sweet Scooby-Do Chia Pet I saw on the TV the other day...

I didnt ask for alot for myself LOTR II, extended version, several older sports books(Ball Four, North Dallas Forty & Friday Night Lights) & a new entertainment center.

My wife and I are taking the kids to Disney World in a few days and that is the bulk of the Xmas spending she and I are doing on each other. She has never been and is as excited as a 10 year old, I have been and am still excited.

For the first time I am actually enjoying buying people gifts as opposed to getting them myself. I dont know if this is a good thing or not, but its kinda fun in itself.

I bet that's pretty.

I (along with my sister and a little financial help from mom) got my dad a '55 Ernie Banks (second year) a couple of years ago off of ebay. Unfortunately, a '54 in any sort of decent condition would cost $600+

VPI97, I built myself something like that when I was 10 years old. I actually had 3 or 4 of 'em, each modeled on a different ballpark.

I built Dodger Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, and Yankee Stadium, and then I lost interest.
