I hope the genetically modified dinosaur isn't something stupid.

Yeah. A big part of the thrill of dinosaurs is that they really existed in the past.

But think of the thrill of dinosaurs that exist IN THE FUTURE

I was pretty skeptical and had written this off completely but, I have to admit, the trailer looks like a decent popcorn movie. It would be nice to amp up the fear factor a bit from the previous iterations as they don't encapsulate the tension of the situation enough.

For me the trailer looked pretty mediocre but I'll definitely be seeing it in theaters unless we get closer and early reviews make it seem god awful.

So - T. rex crossed with Raptor?

I would like to see a dinosaur movie where it's set in the past, and it's all just dinosaurs doing their thing. Maybe have a wildlife guy go back in time to observe them or something. Maybe the Crocodile Hunter!

I think it's acceptable to create a new dinosaur because it fits in with the theme of scientists doing something they shouldn't. Also, they've done so much with the T-Rexs and Raptors that it would feel repetitive for the 4th film unless they introduced something new. My first thought was that they seem to have been inspired by the Blackfish documentary.

You should watch The Land Before Time series. Seemed pretty accurate to me.

I'm in too. I think they should have just stuck with real dinosaurs but it still looks fun.

Interesting article about the man who discovered deinonychus, the dinosaur that Michael Crichton's fictionalized velociraptors were based on.

I enjoyed it, as a popcorn flick. Basically an amped up action film, of course, with the usual assortment of plot holes. But that's to be expected.

Yep. I love dinosaurs, so getting to watch them on the screen is the closest I'll ever get to seeing real dinosaurs. You take what you can get.

Highly entertaining. Checks off every action trope you could possible think of.

My biggest gripe was a 22 year old Jeep starting when the fuel clearly would have separated. My friend's reaction "They just brought dinosaurs back to life" was the perfect rebuttal for such a silly plot hole.
