Can't believe the officiating clusterfuck they've got going in San Diego.

I don't see how they think after viewing the replay that Rice made it beyond the 34. 34 1/2 seems like a much more accurate spot.

Impressive win by the Niners. Guess I should never have doubted Harbaugh.

They always say kick on 3rd in case of a bad snap, yet I never recall this being a factor(the holder falling on it cause of a bad snap and them kicking on 4th.) Has this ever happened?

1999 Georgia-Georgia Tech I believe. 3rd down try was blocked, GT holder Goose Godsey recovers behind the line of scrimmage, Luke Manget kicks again for the win.

I would expect horrible snaps in college I guess. I'm just wondering why it's mentioned literally every time in a pro game. Then again, these guys usually are pretty superfluous

Still think the pre-queued salsa music is a bad decision.

(Dance the Night Away cutting to the commercial otoh is a nice choice.)

It's tacky to do live "theme" songs for players. In a replay fine, live... poor taste.

It seems like favoritism. If they had music for someone from every team it would be a little more equitable (though I still wouldn't really like it). It's my view though that the broadcast team shouldn't celebrate results of gameplay. They are supposed to be neutral, and celebrating the result of a play in my opinion isn't neutral.

I mean, I really wouldn't like it if Raji got a sack and they played "show me what you got, what you got Raji!" either.

Or if Deion were still playing and they started playing 2 Legit 2 Quit after an INT or TD return.

lol, I love it when players keep trying that like it just may work. They are completely down on the field and then stretch the ball out as far as possible, hoping that te ref will say "okay, that must be right".

I'm getting sick of McCarthy's obsession with establishing the run. You have an elite QB, above average WRs and mediocre RBs. Opposite of the Eagles and Vikings who don't realize that their QBs suck and their RB is elite. I don't understand some of these coaches. Stop running and let Rodgers take over. If we're lucky it'll only be a 14 point deficit at the half but McCarthy will still come out trying to establish the running game.

The pornstar playing a cop. I pulled you over doing 69 in a 45, miss. I need you to step out of your car and prepare for a strip search. I want to make sure I am the only one carried a concealed "weapon". You have the right to remain sexy...

Really? This is his 6th year with the Chargers and the previous 2 years without going to the playoffs was not enough to have him fired before the start of this year. They are clearly going to ride him out for the rest of this year. After that, I would not be surprised if they fired him and kept the GM. What's crazy is that I go into the 4th quarter wondering how creatively they are going to another game and the team never ceases to amaze me. A 4th and 29? Wow.

anybody else hate ho the media goes all hyperbole with Kaepernik ? I´m the first guy who finds it fun if rookies/new guys look good, but when i read stuff like "Colin Kaepernick showed vs. New Orleans that he makes San Francisco special" (yahoo nfl frontpage) it makes me a little mad.

Has SF with him really done anything that Smith wouldn´t have get done as well ?

Kaepernick was fine, but let's face it, the SF defense scored 14 points and won the game against NO, not Colin.

I HATE rooting for a team with a bad defense.

Watching the 49ers pulling off a life-sucking drive against the Saints in the second half that included, like, 23 straight third down conversions was horrible. Even worse was watching it and knowing that it was going to happen and that there wasn't a thing that the Saints could do to stop it.

I drafted Kaepernick in my fantasy league(keeper league), just cause I figured he would beat out Smith. Of course that was last year as a rookie pick. =)

So I'm a fan. I still think it is crazy for Harbaugh to set a QB with a ridiculously good recent track record aside for a guy with the "potential" to be better.

If only there was a way that the players themselves could provide incentives to each other in order to make great hits and good plays. This money could go in a pool and someone, perhaps a coach, could administrate the expenses. Veterans with more money could provide something like 10k to the pool if a defensive player could make the QB's life hell.

I wonder if they have considered it in New Orleans, it might work.
