Yeah...I'm surprised they didn't just nuke the entire forum. So the fact that it exists at all is probably..a small miracle.

Between the abrupt URL change, along with the need (at least for me) to reset my password to log back in to the "new" site, along with the fact that the email they send with a link to the password reset page having the old broken URL (if you substitute the new format it actually DOES work however) ... yeah, OS handled this like a bunch a drunken chimps.

Ok. I've now confirmed that a redirect is fully active for internal forum links as well. With that having happened, this should be a low/no-impact event, but I've given them an earful about letting us know ahead of time. (My guess is that they think FOFCers check the main OS site much more often than is actually happening.)

I musta been redirected because when I landed I was logged out and was prompted if I wanted to save the password when I logged in.
Wasn't forced into a PW change, but perhaps I should change it anyway. |
