Evil Dead ROAD Thread -- DO NOT ENTER **THREAD CLOSED**
You are on a country asphalt road. It veers and turns and then splits off to a metal bridge that spans the gap between two cliffs. The woods beckon beyond as the road continues in on the other side.
You may INVESTIGATE and continue across the bridge before you leading to the WOODS where lies a cabin, go back up aways to a TRAIL that bypasses the bridge (on foot), or remain here on the ROAD. Around you you see echoes of the past, like movies playing out around you of others. It is eerie and they open in pockets in various places. You can hear their conversations, but the sound is very distorted. Are these ghosts? Or just images of the past. Last edited by CrimsonFox : 09-15-2011 at 01:19 PM. |

IMPORTANT! If my PM box gets clogged, email me at [email protected]. I will be monitoring that too.
Good:Most characters are good. You have traveled to a remote cabin in some dark woods for your own reasons, some are with friends, some are alone. All are unsuspecting. Evil:Evil wins when they achieve a 1:1 ratio of good-evil. Win Conditions: Good wins when they eliminate all evil characters in the game. Voting:Each day you will vote for a player. The format should be as normal: vote crimson Fox To unvote a player and vote someone else: unvote crimson fox vote someoneelse Deadline: Day Action Deadline is 9 PM EST/6 PM PST Night Deadline is 10 PM EST/7 PM PST Lynch (End of Day Cycle):Ties equal no lynch. Nolynch is also a voting option. Basic Game Rules: 1. No editing posts. 2. No discussing game with outside people. Check with me if you are confused about being out of the game before posting in other outside threads. 3. The deadites will eat you. Every bit of you, except maybe your blood. They like exploding that all over the walls. 4. Don't die. 5. Protect your blood. Make sure it stays inside you. 6. Conditional orders are allowed to make sure you don't perform an action on someone who has died so give multiple names just in case. Unique things to this game: Rooms: There are a number of locations in this game. Each represented by a thread. You may only read a room/thread that you are in. You may not read a different thread unless you are told to. This thread is considered the ROAD. Descriptions: Pay attention to room descriptions. They tell you where you can go and look. Investigation: Investigation acts like both moving and searching. It works like voting. You will be given options as to where you can investigate. Format: INVESTIGATE CLOSET This will take you into the "closet" thread. You will also be told privately whether you find anything in the closet. Only one person will get the object if multiple people look there. You may choose to INVESTIGATE a room you are already in and thus not move to another room but search for things. INVESTIGATIONS are due by Lynch time. Items: There are objects in this game. You may find them by investigating an area. Once you have them, you may pass them or hold onto them. Other things may happen. To pass them, you PM me as a night action. Items may end up back in a room. Items and Ability:You might not be able to use an item you find. There are two main types: weapons and spells. You will be told at the game's beginning which type you can use. (One or the other). Results: You will only know certain results when you see them, meaning are in the same room to see them. If someone dies and they aren't with you, you won't know what they are until you go to their location (but it will be obvious). If you find a dead someone in a room through investigation and they have an object, you can get their object. Time: Although we are still using day/night cycle, this all takes place in one night. You have come to these woods for your own reasons. It is a nice midday afternoon. There are other people here with you. You didn't expect that. Who are they? You get an odd feeling. And you feel as if you should vote for someone in this room today.

Nice to see some travelers on the road. How many of us are here? I'm going to reread a couple of times before I figure out where to investigate.
CF, can we only lynch people in our thread? |

So we can 1) stay here, 2) go over the bridge to the woods, or 3) go to the trail which bypasses the bridge.
I kind of agree with going on the bridge. Whoever's on the trail now can figure out what's on the trail, we might as well explore what's novel to us. Although some should probably investigate here rather than moving on. |

So there are four threads and seventeen people. Do we think there's four people in each and five in one? I've seen five of us post in here so far, assuming MrBug didn't post in the wrong thread.

Could be random distribution, but that seems a good guess, 4, 4, 4, 5
So Autumn The Jackal Zinto NTNdeacon MrBug708 Man, it's brutal to vote from five on day one. Sorry guys. I will volunteer to stay here and investigate the Road. I think we should probably split between that and the Woods, though I guess there's no harm in heading to the Trail either. INVESTIGATE THE ROAD (STAY HERE) |

You stand at the road in some rather backwoods territory. There doesn't seem to be anyone about, except for the four others now standing with you. Do you know them? Should you know them? Hmmmm that bridge. You hope it's safe. You really don't like this situation. You decide to vote for someone here with you.
Not knowing each other's names, you call yourself: Autumn, Zinto, MrBug, ntndeacon, and The Jackal |

I wonder how the lynch will work. I'd say it'd be worth speculating about and trying to spread out our votes if we think the leading overall votegetter is the one that gets lynched, but we know nothing about each other and there's not really any reason we'd want to keep any of us alive over the other participants, especially if we're splitting up after today. Of course we could bond and try to keep ourselves alive on D1 before we go our separate ways, but who knows what the mechanic actually is.

I am not sure if I should follow Jackal or go my own way. I am not really sure what we can discuss here since it seems like today is a little rougher then the usual day one.

Good point, Jackal, are we going to lose somebody in each thread today? Or is there some sort of mechanic otherwise. We could try voting no lynch, or have a winner with two votes and see if that makes a difference. Tomorrow though it seems it will just be a random assemblage of other people here and there. They'll have our vote history to see in this room, which is an interesting thing. Those who are going elsewhere should be sure to keep good track of what the vote was here to spread to other locations.
S now that i think of it, we just have to vote normal. Every day is going to be like this, most likely, unless we all make a concerted effort to all go to one place. We don't want to do that without investigating places first though, but probably in a day or two we should all go in the direction fo the cabin. |

I doubt we'll lose someone in each thread, that might lead to a quick game. CF said the "majority" of players are good, but that really doesn't give us an idea if there's a normal amount of wolves or not.. pretty much every game the majority of players are good. I agree that we should vote normally, perhaps down the line we'll be able to look back and share what happened with a centralized community of voters.

Yeah, cue the inevitable "there must have been one wolf in each starting room" idea. I obviously don't know how CF set up his game, but when I split the Cube threads I split people completely randomly, so I'm only going to put stock into that theory if I've got absolutely nothing else to go on later on.
