Question for those that have purchased Cities Skylines - how heavy is it on financial management and complex things like that? I think my wife would enjoy the city building aspect of the game but she doesn't like overly complex budgeting, planning, etc.... aspects of games.

There's also an option for unlimited money that comes with the game.

yeah yeah yeah I think you remember at least one reason I left, maybe two. I don't think those reasons have changed At least I can say my FOFL team claimed a championship, thanks to an incredible QB. (unlike the FOBL where Mali stole my stud pitcher (who is probably going to win a championship for them )

Anyone played Starbound? It looks interesting and at $10, could be a nice game to gamble on.

It's good. Lots of world building. A lot like Terraria.

Sunless Sea is awesome. Very slow paced, tons of reading, and lots of really, really annoying death when you start to feel comfortable...but awesome. The atmosphere and the writing are absolutely top notch, and the game forces you to make difficult choices at times.

I picked up FOF7 as well. I already own the game, but it's worth $18 to not have to deal with the eLicense crap anymore and also just to support Jim.

Bought FM15 even though I wasn't convinced I wanted to play it but seems like good value at the discounted price. Also bought Mount & Blade.

A little annoyed that I recently bought NBA2k15 at full price and it's crazily discounted now. Ah well.

My son has been wanting me to get that for ages. Like Grover says, very much like Terraria (which I did like).

I finally picked up FOF 7 as well. My first version since the original EA version.

Figured I owed Jim that much for the fun I had back in the day as well as bringing me to this board, which I've spent a ton of time on despite not having played the game it was originally for.

I really hope Jim did well yesterday. I chipped in and answered a few questions for people that were on the fence over on the steam FOF forums.

Anybody have an opinion on Watch Dogs? Is it a good enough game that didnt live up to it's totally over-the-top hype, or is it just junk?

Finished GTA5 so itching for a new open world type of thing.

So is Town of Salem worth $2.49, or should I just actually play WW again?

I played Town of Salem, and its a fun and very quick way to play something similar to WW (closer to Mafia really). The quickness is a problem with the game-you have so little time to defend yoursef or ask questions of others. Its definitely worth that price if you need a little WW "fix" though.

Town of Salem is actually free to play. You are paying to access it from steam rather than a browser and you are buying in game currency.

Played in on the PS3. It was okay but didn't get anywhere near the level that I was hoping that it would. It is fun to hack people but that starts to get old after a while.

Roguelike game in the vein of Angband and Moria.

Roguelike being a gameplay and storyline (NOT graphic) driven game in which character death is permanent and happens ALL THE TIME. When you die you start over.

Maybe I'll throw my question in here as well, in case people don't look in the FOF forum.

Does anyone have a Mac and use the Windows version of Steam through Parallels or Crossover (or other)? If so, have you run into any issues and have you used it for FOF?

what vince said, Roguelike first based on Pern, then Middle-Earth. Now set in a world of its creator-it plays differently than any other Angband variant. Its not my favorite, but worth checking out if you like roguelikes

Thanks for the clarification there dubb. He is quite correct. I do not have it on Steam, but I'd pay for it If I played the game often enough.

I picked up Lords of Xulima on the Steam Sale - seems pretty well reviewed and maybe I will have time to play it...by the next Steam sale.

The complete edition? It was $12.49 two days ago. Might want to return it and wait until the last day if you want
