Change MultiPlayer to SinglePlayer

Is there any possible way to change a Multi Player FOF 2004 league into a Single Player league to test game plans and such?

I am not new to FOF single player but I am new to MP FOF.

I suppose I could reconstruct the league by hand in the Single player, but it would be nice I there was another way.

Thanks,
Scott Kolleck

Come on folks, I can't be the only player that wants to use the team they setup in MP to create game plans and test them out over a full season.

Could there be a 3rd party utility to do this?

Thanks,

Dude, it's 4th of July weekend. A lot of people probably aren't around.

I'm not sure of a way to do what you want to do other than the manual method you suggest.

There could be a utility to do this... if you want to create one.

I've never heard of this being possible.

Me either, but I would love to be able to test certain gameplans against actual multiplayer teams in a singleplayer environment.

I'm sure this is against the rules in some (most?) MP leagues, but you could set the league up in commish mode on your comp, import your own file, and run the games to test your gameplans.

Out of respect for many MP communities that would severely frown upon this, I imagine a utility would not be released to do so.

I really believe such a utility would be useless anyway. There are so many variables in FOF that I don't think you could test your gameplan in any meaningfull way.

Just re-sim any single game 10 different times and you'll see enough varied results to show you what I mean...

when I read the initial post, it struck me as somewhat unethical.

Even more stupid. You should know better than to even mention this.

Well holy shit, then why did you even have to mention it? The light blub should have lit right off the bat.

It was not meant to be unethical or unfair. If I have a QB that is very good at screen plays I would want to tailor the game plan to take advantage of his skill. Not really much different that a mid-week full pad practice in the NFL (rare now) or running a single player season over to see if a GP change changes the stats a lot.

I suppose you could run as commish, but I would feel that would be unfair and cheating. I did not mess with Game Planning much in single player, but I am finding that it is critical in multi player when you have a team that does not have much talent.

I am finding that the Game Plans I have for my more talented single player teams are not translating well to a team that has real comeptition for talent in the MP world.

Thanks for the replies,
Scott Kolleck
