TCY/FOF: Bare Bones Interactive: YEAR 1!

I'll be using Mississippi State on All Star and if I have the chance, I'll try recruiting some of these guys. Chances are I will fail, but who cares. Now.

Let's start off with some introductions to our studly recruits..

Travis Elkin

Travis Elkin. #1 ILB. #22 Nationally. Delmar, Deleware. 6'3, 230
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.45
Test Score: 1217
High School Athletic Prep: 70
High School Academic Prep: 84
Overall Impression: 89 out of 100 (Scout: Decent)
Strength: Defending the Run
Weakness: Rushing the Passer

4 GP, 58 Tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 INT

The best ILB in the Nation, and he is from .. Deleware? Doesn't seem right, but hey, go Deleware! A tackle machine, he is going to fit in nicely in the middle of a 4-3 scheme most likely. Plus, the kid is smart. Someone that smart should be playing Bobby Fischer in chess, but not big Elk. He eats Bobby Fischer for lunch.

Mike Ritschel

Mike Ritschel. #1 DT. #9 Nationally. Willamstown, New Jersey. 6'4, 277
Major: Nuclear Engineering
GPA: 3.74
Test: 1442
HS Athletic Prep: 99
HS Academic Prep: 86
Overal Impression: 74 out of 100 (Scout: Lousy)
Strength: Rushing the Passer
Weakness: Defending the Run

4 GP, 40 Tackles, 3.5 sacks

I hope Ritschel and Elkin never meet. No, not because they'll ravage you to a bloody pulp, but most likely because they'll want you to play Trivial Pursuit with them. He is one of the ten best players in America and he comes from a great high school with rich athletic tradition. My scout doesn't think to highly of him, but my scout also told me Eric Crouch was going to be a franchise QB in the NFL. Idiot. We hear Ritschel has a mean streak, but he is also an Eagle Scout.

Rob Nielsen

Rob Nielsen. #1 WR. #10 Nationally. San Jose, California. 6'1", 196
Major: Trigonometry
GPA: 2.05
Test: 610
HS Athletic Prep: 98
HS Academic Prep: 0 (GO FIGURE)
Overal Impression: 91 out of 100 (Scout: Excellent)
Strength: Catching the Ball
Weakness: Kick Returning

4 GP, 30 Receptions, 735 yards, 4 TD

No one has apparently told Rob what trigonometry actually is. With those kind of grades, he's expected to go to Ohio State or Miami. Apparently he might be overqualified for Tennessee, but you never know. He's a beast on the field though, and his high school has churned out amazing talent. Sadly, most of them won't be recruited until next year .. With good behavior. Sure handed and brash, he's going to be lighting people up somewhere.

Al Mighty. #1 RB. #24 Nationally. Livingston Manor, New York. 5'9", 185
Major: Education
GPA: 2.83
Test: 1247
HS Athletic Prep: 66
HS Acadmeic Prep: 51
Overall Impression: 93 out of 100 (Scout: Good)
Strength: Gaining Extra Yardage
Weakness: Punt Returning

4 GP, 113 CAR, 799 Yards, 7.07 ypc, 10 TD

Al Mighty is a tenacious back with an almost cult like following. Legened has it on one fourth in goal his sophmore year, he forarm shivered a cheerleader who tried giving him a hug! Needless to say he hasn't talked to his sister in a few years. At only 5'9 and 185, he's not the biggest, but he hardly ever gets sent backwards and he is durable. My thoughts are he's the perfect Big 10 back.

Charlie Trippi. #1 QB. #11 Nationally. Marlow, Oklahoma. 6'5", 218
Major: Algebra
GPA: 2.58
Test: 842
HS Athletic Prep: 96
HS Academic Prep: 25
Overall Impression: 84 out of 100 (Scout: Very Good)
Strength: Long Passing
Weakness: Medium Passing

4 GP, 39 of 60, 65 %, 707 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT

Trippi is a huge kid with a cannon of an arm, but plays for a team who runs the ball. I'd hope this kid lands out west, maybe at UCLA with Nielsen? Those two could be quite a tandem with Nielsens ability to stretch the field and Trippi's ability to fling the ball. Hailing from Oklahoma however, many pundits expect him to stay in state, or at least within the Big 12. No matter where he goes, expect a lot of 30 plus yard bombs out of his mamma jamma.

Tang LeWood. #1 K in South Dakota. -- Nationally. Sturgis, South Dakota. 6'0, 168
Major: Mechanichal Engineering.
GPA: 3.26
Test: 1281
HS Athletic Prep: 9
HS Academic Prep: 51
Overall Impression: 29 out of 100 (Scout: Good)
Strength: FG Distance
Weakness: Kickoff Distance

4 GP, 7/7 FG

This is the guy I want to party with. He's a kicker only because he is too lazy to run. He hails from Sturgis, and he rides a motorcycle. He showed up to his first game this year not by team bus, but via a Hells Angels convoy. He makes no bones that he talks a lot and lives a bad ass life style. He can be routinely spotted at practice dipping chew and shooting squirrels, and if his holder goes laces in, he'll make Ray Finkel look tame.

WEEK 1: Recruiting

Travis Elkin: Elkin is coming off of a 15 tackle, 1 INT week. His great day was met with his first two offers of the year.

MARSHALL: Computer Science (36), Prestige (73), Offer: Yes
GEORGIA: Computer Science (70), Prestige (93), Offer: Yes

Mike Ritschel: Ritschel had an even bigger week then Elkin, as he had 13 tackles and 2 sacks, and has caught the eye of three big schools .. and mine.

MIAMI (FLA): Nuclear Engineering (59), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
MISS ST: Nuclear Engineering (34), Prestige (70), Offer: Yes
OKLAHOMA: Nuclear Engineering (54), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
WASHINGTON: Nuclear Engineering (82), Prestige (84), Offer: Yes

Rob Nielsen Nielsen had another solid game, in which he chipped in with 6 receptions for just over 120 yards and a score. He hasn't gotten quite the attention he feels he deserves (He was on campus radio telling people he might go enter the NBA Draft.. He last played Basketball in Middle School) but he still has an offer on the table.

ARIZONA STATE: Trig (58), Prestige (78), Offer: Yes

Al Mighty After his 5th game performance, Al is now only 2 yards short of 1000 for the year as he ran for 199 and two scores. His performance has earned him the attention of two big schools from the South, one just so happening to be a conference mate, those whores.

FLORIDA: Education (82), Prestige (92), Offer: Yes
FLORIDA STATE: Education (60), Prestige (96), Offer: Yes

Charlie Trippi Trippi had the worst game of any of the recruits, but again, much is put on the coaches he currently has. While he threw for over 200 yards, he didn't have any TDs. On a positive note, he didn't throw any picks, but his completion percentage is now at %59.5. Still, got an offer .. FROM ME!

MISS ST: Algebra (34), Prestige (70), Offer: Yes

Tang LeWood Tang didn't get a chance to kick any FG's, and he didn't get any offers. He however did kick an opposing player who got tackled into him as he was doing a body shot off of the mascot in the third quarter. Hey, it happens.

WEEK TWO: Recruiting

Travis Elkin: Elkin continues this torrid pace, as he is now up to 82 tackles and two sacks. Unfortunately for Georgia and Marshall, his talents haven't gone unnoticed, as five more teams have offered.

GEORGIA: Computer Science (70), Prestige (93), Offer: Yes *Visting*
MICHIGAN: Computer Science (95), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes

USC: Computer Science (87), Prestige (92), Offer: Yes. *Visiting*
WASHINGTON STATE: Computer Science (47), Prestige (82), Offer: Yes.

Mike Ritschel: Ritschel is becoming the sack king, now up to 7 on the year, along with 63 tackles. Another week, and even more offers flourish. PS, Mike tells me he favors Oklahoma. Bastards.

WASHINGTON: Nuclear Engineering (82), Prestige (84), Offer: Yes
MICHIGAN: Nuclear Engineering (95), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
TENNESSEE: Nuclear Engineering (52), Prestige (90), Offer: No

Rob Nielsen Nielsen is God (Or so he told local radio) but he sat out the teams 6th game for his remarks to the school paper. Even with the setback, four more offers rolled in, the rat bastard.

ARIZONA STATE: Trig (58), Prestige (78), Offer: Yes
AIR FORCE: Trig (80), Prestige (71), Offer: Yes
FLORIDA STATE: Trig (60), Prestige (96), Offer: Yes
OHIO STATE: Trig (78), Prestige (94), Offer: Yes
TEXAS A&M: Trig (76), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes

Al Mighty Mighty is once again the star of his offense, and now reigns supreme in New York with 1199 yards and 15 TD's. Florida and Florida State remain the front runners, but two more schools enter the fray.

FLORIDA: Education (82), Prestige (92), Offer: Yes
FLORIDA STATE: Education (60), Prestige (96), Offer: Yes
COLORADO STATE: Education (44), Prestige (75) Offer: Yes
IOWA: Education (75), Prestige (83, Offer: Yes

Charlie Trippi Trippi connects for his 5th TD of the year, and maintain his completion percentage. Still only throwing for 1200 yards, 5 TD and 2 INT, he has gotten a second offer.

MISS ST: Algebra (34), Prestige (70), Offer: Yes
CLEMSON: Algebra (56), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes

Tang LeWood He hit TWO Field Goals in a huge game for his team and his collegiate success. In fact, he was so impressive (He kicked both while getting inked) that I have offered him a visit and schollie to Mississippi State!

WEEK THREE: Recruiting

Tavis Elkin The Elk is a busy beaver, as not only did he make 9 stops to move up to 91 tackles on the year, but now he is on a tour schedule Motley Crue would love (minus the killing of dudes from Hanoi Rocks). One new school did join the circus, but the late start might do them in.

MARSHALL: Computer Science (36), Prestige (73), Offer: Yes
GEORGIA: Computer Science (70), Prestige (93), Offer: Yes *Visting*

WASHINGTON STATE: Computer Science (47), Prestige (82), Offer: Yes
AUBURN: Computer Science (52), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes

Mike Ritschel Ritschel had half a sack and chipped in with a handful more of tackles to bring his total to 68 and 7.5 sacks. There has been no change in his schools, except for Tennessee offering a visit/schollie.

MIAMI (FLA): Nuclear Engineering (59), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
MISS ST: Nuclear Engineering (34), Prestige (70), Offer: Yes
OKLAHOMA: Nuclear Engineering (54), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
WASHINGTON: Nuclear Engineering (82), Prestige (84), Offer: Yes
MICHIGAN: Nuclear Engineering (95), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes
TENNESSEE: Nuclear Engineering (52), Prestige (90), Offer: Yes

Rob Nielsen Rob came back but was benched a half, this time for his "I am God" comments. Hey, it's all good, he had 5 more catches for about 60 yards, made his presence known, and then reveled in all the offers that came from his shameless self promoting.

ARIZONA STATE: Trig (58), Prestige (78), Offer: Yes
AIR FORCE: Trig (80), Prestige (71), Offer: Yes

Al Mighty Another huge day, and his pursuit for 2000 gets closer and closer. Now at 1415 yards and 16 TD, Mighty is getting more and more publicity, and three more teams join the sweepstakes for four years of his services.

FLORIDA: Education (82), Prestige (92), Offer: Yes
FLORIDA STATE: Education (60), Prestige (96), Offer: Yes

OREGON STATE: Education (48), Prestige (81), Offer: Yes
NOTRE DAME: Education (90), Prestige (87), Offer: Yes
TEXAS A&M: Education (76), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes

Charlie Trippi Trippi didn't get much more work, but he made use of the chances he did get, throwing for two more TD passes, now bringing his total to 7 TD and 2 INT on the year. One more team, and probably the new front runner joins the fold for his services in return.

MISS ST: Algebra (34), Prestige (70), Offer: Yes
CLEMSON: Algebra (56), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes
MICHIGAN: Algebra (95), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes *VISTING*

The Church of Rob demands he gets the ball more. The Church of Rob is also sick of his high school coach. Where does he get off benching The Holy Rob, anyway?

I'm so damn good, even the military wants me. So what if the recruiter says 'we need to get you off the streets in the interests of national security'? That just means America loves me.

Talk later. I need to go collect my trignowhatever homework from the cheerleaders.

Travis Elkin Elkin had perhaps the most unreal game out of any of players this season. Not only did he chime in with 15 stops and a sack, but he also had 3 INT. His stock is continuing to soar, but the offers have stopped for now.

Mike Ritschel Ritschel keeps up a solid pace with another sack and two more schools are interested in having him lounge at their places of schooling for four years, but right now Oklahoma still seems to have the commanding lead of the bunch.

Rob Nielsen Rob had his first TD in two weeks and then did a TD celebration that clocked in at just over 3 and a half minutes. It was highlighted by him pantsing the DB he had beat and beat bad for the TD. Two new schools in the bunch, one of which, Stanford, he will be visiting. Watch out for Stanford, at only 17 miles away from his home, they could be the darkhorse.

Al Mighty Al did a solid job but was pulled early in the midst of a blow out. He did get another score and is over 1550 yards, but there was no need to overuse him. Three new schools also inquired, and Al looks to be visiting one of them. Guess which one? .. Yup.. Michigan.

Charlie Trippi He had his best game of the year, throwing for roughly 260 yards and a score, while once again not committing any turnovers. Nothing new as far as schools go, but it's looking more and more like Michigan will be his next chapter of his life.

Who's got the best cheerleaders? Your local deity needs someone to do while the defense is on the field.

She can improve my end zone dances, too. 3 minutes ain't nearly enough celebrating, dammit. Preferably with the entire squad dancing around me. Naked. And the coeds at the school there too. Also naked. At least the hot ones. One ugly one too, but she has to be smart, so she can do my trignofuckitwhateveritis homework.

Throw me the damn ball.

Charlie Trippi Trippi is now reveling in a bunch of offers that have popped up, as Georgia, Texas and USC are all in the hunt for his services. Still, Michigan has to be considered the front runner for this strong armed, and from what i hear, big lipped ballah.

CLEMSON: Algebra (56), Prestige (85), Offer: Yes
MICHIGAN: Algebra (95), Prestige (97), Offer: Yes *VISTING*

Crappy prep scores mean crummy freshman estimates and grades.

Notre Dame better not be too good or Al will be awaitin' for his chance.

We will never lose again. Now that UCLA has a god on their team, they are guaranteed 3 years of victory!

...You don't expect me to stay in college ball a moment longer than necessary, now do you? I want the money, bucko.
