My Girlfriend is Awesome

An authentic Tim Lincecum home jersey and two Club Level Tickets to the Giants - Dodgers game in two and a half weeks for my birthday present. Freaking amazing. And to think that I thought she'd never be able to top getting me a Wii for Christmas...

I'm guessing he plays or played for the Dodgers since Vince is from CA and the gift seemed to revolve around baseball...though I'm probably wrong and he'll be some crazy hockey player or something

Yeah. I looked him up and he's a young pitcher on the Giants.

I was afraid he was a hockey player, so I didn't want to search (I get the willies whenever I see anything NHL related since that terrifying squid incident years ago).

Meh, you aren't a true baseball fan if you don't know who Tim Lincecum is. Next you'll be saying you have no clue who Edinson Volquez is .

My apologies, please forgive me

Have fun at the game. Oliegirl sends her best and worries that it's a long drive to the Meadowlands....after all..the Giants do play in Giants Stadium.

I have a Lincecum t-shirt jersey. I don't know how he isn't your favorite player if you're a Giants fan.

How did you know????

Actually, I had a very hard time choosing who to root for in the Super Bowl b/c Eli and Tom are both so very hot. In the end, my penchant for dark haired guys won out and I went with Eli

Your heads are now all exploding aren't they????

Typical of them as of late though. It's been like this ever since Roy Hobbs retired.

How many commercials has this Ted Lincum done? We have no idea who he is.

What's next? We'll need to know Damian Harrell's shoe size or Bryce Salvador's middle name?

Love the Volquez namedrop too, but Lincecum should even be more well known as he's been around since last year.

Have fun at the game Vinny.

Wow. Oliegirl, I laughed far too much to be upset, so you're safe.

To make things better...my parents got me an autographed Joe Montana Notre Dame Jersey. Talk about your good days

I think Joe Montana is a professional poker player. He beat out Tug Mcgraw for the Main Event title at the WSOP in the 90s, I think.

So my wife was standing over my shoulder and saw this thread title. She asked why 'someone' hasn't started a "My wife is awesome" thread?

I told her someone else might sometime soon.

That didn't go over well.

See, there are posts in this thread that are proof that some women shouldn't talk about sports unless they are on a Sports for Chicks forum.

oliegirl, there's no more than 3 people on this board who thinks about hotness when Joe Montana or Steve Young come to mind.

Oh, and, Eli Manning is hot? WTF?
