Yo FOF car guys, help: My car ate my cd

I put in a cd into my car stereo system and it disappeared! I really have know idea where it went. I can put in another cd, play it0 and eject it, but somehow the original cd is gone. i would not be too worried except that it is a cd from an audiobook i got from the library.

I have a 2006 ford focus. think it is a "double din" which i imagine makes it more expensive to replace

thanks

Happened to my car, I just had to finally remove the face plate and get it out with tweezers. Remarkably the CD didn't get damaged.

It probably went into a crack above/below the radio, not into the slot - I lost a CD for 2 years once that way.

Double DIN is not inherently more expensive to buy a new radio. Just a bigger box. You pay for features and sound quality.

Well, and with many double DINs you can just get a regular head unit and htey have face plates that go around it. That's what I did.
