Our team is outrunnign them and we are up 61-53 at the half.

We are shooting 62%. They are shooting 48%.

Carney has 18 points including quite a few fast break dunks.

McGrady has 17 points on 80% shooting!

Joe Johnson has 14 points despite my trying to double team him at times. He is 3 of 4 behind the arc.

At the end of 3, it is 85-78 our lead in this wild wide open affair.

112-104 win for us

We shot 56% thanks in part to a lot of fast breaks.

They shot 48% as we played a bit better defense as the game progressed.

We were 1 of 6 from behind the arc. They were 8 of 13.

We each had 27 assists.

Our next simulated game is at the Rockets. They are 27-16 and are doing very well with Allen Iverson. Iverson is averaging 23.7 ppg and 6.6 apg. He is shooting 47% from the field.

Yao Ming is averaging 17 ppg and 9 boards per game. He is shooting 51%.

Kirk Snyder is their #3 scorer with 12.1 ppg.

We get a big win 103-100!

However, Iverson torched us for 51 points! He also had 7 assists. Yao had 25 points and 12 boards.

McGrady also went off against his former team for 41 points! He had 5 boards, 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks. He shot 17 of 25.

Iguodala had 16 points, 11 boards, 8 assists.

Carney had 12 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists.

Webber only had 8 points and 3 boards.

Louis Williams had 8 points, 2 boards, and 3 assists.

That win raises our record to 19-27. Our next game is at the Hornets in 2 days.

NCAA Football is a good game. I'm tempted to play it today as I was watching a lot of football and fired up for some console football. However, if I play it now after finishing watching game 1 of the WS, I won't have time to get in another game NBA 2k7 game... well this game is just so good that I my desire to play this wins out.

I've scouted about 5 PF's this year. Sending my scout to look at them for 5-7 days each time. You can scout each player up to 4 times. I've done that with most of them. I need to make money so I can hire some more scouts next year..

Feb 9, 2007 -

Today we host the Clippers who are 31-18! We are 22-28.

The trade deadline is 2 weeks away. The Bobcats just offered me SG Bernard Robinson for PG Louis Williams. Bernard is older, worse rated (67), and at a position I don't need. I turn down the deal.

Clippers Offense is rated 77. Defense is rated 81. Overall is 79. After our practice, we are rated 72 offense, defense 80, and overall 76.

PG Sam Cassell 6'3 185 (82) Advantage us.

SG Cuttino Mobley 6'4 215 (78) Very slight advantage to us.

SF Corey Magette 6'6 228 (81) Advantage Clippers.

PF Elton Brand 6'8 265 (97) Big advantage Clippers

C Chris Kaman 7'0 268 (81) Slight advantage Clippers.

Midway through the 1st, Iguodala draws foul number 2 on Brand.

Down 27-23 at the end of 1. They are hitting shots all over the court.

We had a great 19-5 run that led to a 60-49 lead at the end of the half.

McGrady was phenomenal.

At the half, he has 19 points, 4 boards, and 5 assists.

Brand is getting points, but we are forcing a lot of misses. He is 6 of 17. He has 16 points thanks to FT's.

Mobley has 11 points for them mostly from outside jumpers.

82-74 at the end of 3. Our offense is on fire and running well.

EXTREMELY Physical defense has led to both of my C's fouling out with 8 minutes left. But, we have a 20 point lead thanks to that defense on Brand.

I decide to go small with Webber at C for a bit.

That doesn't work well as they start scoring too much on the inside against TMac (who I was playing at the 4.) Webber is tired too. So, I play Randolph as usual at PF, and for the first time all year Michael Bradley gets to play some C.

That works out well and we go on another run to end the game.

113-91 win for us!

We shot 48%. They shot 38%.

We were 5 of 8 behind the arc. They were 2 of 12.

We hit 22 of 25 FT's. They hit 23 of 27.

We had 28 assists. They had 27.

We had 50 rebounds to their 41.

We had 9 steals each.

We had 11 blocks! They had 2. Our C's were going after everything very aggressively.

We had 35 bench points. They had 26.

We had 32 fast break points (thanks to those blocks.) They had 2.

McGrady was the player of the game with 30 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists. He also had 2 steals and a block. He shot 13 of 26.

Carney had 20 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists on 9 of 19 shooting.

Iguodala had 17 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists. He shot 5 of 12.

Korver had 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting.

Dalembert had 9 points, 5 boards, and 4 blocks!

Hunter had 6 points, 4 boards, and 3 blocks.

Webber had 2 points, 10 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 1 of 7.

Louis Williams had 4 points and 6 assists in 17 minutes.

Bradley had 3 boards in his 4 minutes.

Mobley and Brand each had 20 points to lead them. We blocked quite a few of Brand's shots and he shot 8 of 28

Mobley was 8 of 16.

Cassell had 16 points and 4 assists.

Magette we held to 8 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists.

This home stand might finally turn around our season.

Next up is our simulated game at home against the 29-20 Mavericks. This is our 2nd to last game before the All-Star Break.

Before the game, the Heat offer a trade that I'll actually look at: SG Mike Gansey for PF Michael Bradley.

Gansey is getting almost zero play time for them. As a result, he is only averaging 1.4 ppg. He has a good outside shot for a rookie and definitely has some potential. Bradley is a stiff, but he is a big man. However, our scouts think Gansey has VERY little potential to improve and that he is a major defensive liability... Hmmmm that sounds like Korver. Bradley is bad but he at least has size and might be needed if my C's are going to continue their physical play. I pass on the trade.

(If Willie Green wasn't hitting so many good shots in his limited playing time, I would have made this trade.)

Also, I like that our chemistry is going up and guys are coming together.

This shows up in our game against the Mavs as we win! 104-102.

McGrady led us with 21 points, 8 boards, and 5 assists.

Webber had 20 points, 12 boards, and 2 blocks.

Dalembert had 16 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks.

Carney had 16 points and Iguodala had 13.

Korver had 15 points off the bench on 6 of 9 shooting (2 of 4 behind the arc.)

As usual, Bradley didn't play any minutes.

I'm waiting for the patch, but the itch is strong with the start of the real season so...

Feb 14, 2007 -

Before the game, the Wizards offer C Peter Ramos for PF Michael Bradley. This is a tempting trade. Ramos is 7'3 275 pounds and he is rated very slightly better than Bradley. He is rated 64. He has very little offensive ability is a suprisingly bad dunker for such a big man. However, he has a little bit of offensive post game. He is a surprisingly bad rebounder for such a big man. His defensive awareness is very poor. He has very little potential. However, he intrigues me. Do I risk our growing chemistry? Well, Bradley has very little PT so in theory this shouldn't disrupt our chemistry too much... I take a chance on him. The guys switch sides right before the game...

Tonight we host the 18-31 Wizards in our last game before the All-Star break. We are 24-28 and are rated 72 in offense, 85 in defense, and 79 overall which I assume is mostly from our recent practice and not from this trade.

The Wizards are rated 83 in offense, 62 in defense, and 77 overall. This should be a winnable game at home.

PG Arenas 6'3 191 (94) Push

SG Mercer 6'7 210 (75) slight advantage us.

SF Jarvis Hayes 6'7 220 (75) Slight advantage Wizards

PF Jamison 6'9 225 (85) Push

C Haywood 7'0 269 (73) Slight advantage us.

Dalembert finished with 14 points, 5 boards, and an assist.

Iguodala finished with 12 points and 7 assists.
