A sign of the times...

Me: "Holy cow."

Dad: "What?"

Me: "Dodgers scored three."

Dad: "What, in the same game?"

Yup, the Braves pitching can even make the Dodgers look like a power-house.

Yeah, I think the home plate umpire had money on the game or something.

Took the bat clean out of LoDuca's hands in the 8th. I'm surprised LoDuca didn't beat him upside the head with it. I would have.

I was listening on the radio, so I didn't see it. I know by the cheers in the crowd that they enjoyed it. What was the deal with the lights thing? It wasn't anywhere near dark.

Oh, a funny line from the radio. They said that when Bobby Cox heard that the umpire had thrown a manger out of the game, he handed the batter's list to Pat Corralles and started walking into the clubhouse.

I didn't see enough of the game to know that, but I'd bet it had to do with trying to blind the Dodger hitters so Hampton could get a no-hitter instead of, y'know, the 3 hitter he was working on.

Yeah, that really worked.

Meh. It's the only time in the last three seasons I've actively wished for either Tracy or his player (in this case, LoDuca) to beat the everloving shit out of the umpire after being tossed. West has it coming, in spades.

Aw, Christ, Yahoo is reporting that Joe West ordered the lights turned on after "the afternoon shadows started creeping across the field."

He had money riding on the game. I'd bet on it.
