I think you're #1 in one of them. Meanwhile, we dropped after winning 79-10. Crazy voters!

Got the game in last night and dismantled Texas State with little issue.. It was a weird one though, I guess I got a little greedy, but it seemed like my receivers were kind of lackadaisical coming back to the ball on throws and I got picked off 5 times.. It was messy, the janitors had a lot to clean up afterwards, but it was fun.

We added two more commits this week, a 5'10 163 lb athlete who projects to be a DB for us and the #6 WR in the nation. This class is shaping up nicely so far. Game time!

Our defense had a disappointing 2nd half after a good 1st half, but with the exception of 2 key mistakes (a fumble and interception) our offense dominated. We cruise to a 70-28 win over Wisconsin.

We beat the feisty #6 Miami Hurricanes 63-28. Running was hard, but passing on them was pretty easy. Their defense had one scoop-and-score TD, but our defense allowed them 21 points on the day. Time to run some stairs, boys.

We had a good one too, only 11 scholarships left in San Antonio. Took down Alabama with one of our best defensive showings of the season.

Our top recruit is a guy I am incredibly excited to get in the fold.. A QB cut straight out of the Vick mold, 95 speed, 90 throw power. I think he will be a big part of our future, might leapfrog everyone to take the starting spot as a true freshman.. Or maybe we will put him at CB for a year first.

We played our Rival FIU and the weeks of grueling schedule battle hardened our guys.

We showed out and our QB officially tossed his name in the Heisman hat...

We slaughtered Arizona, although they did manage a touchdown and 3 field goals. But their pass defense was a sieve.

We got 1 more recruit this week, a critical one for us, the #1 MLB in the nation. He is 5'11 234 and is a 5 star. He has good speed and coverage abilities. He is also a very sure tackler. He is likely to start as a true freshman but either way will definitely play next year. Now, it is game time!

We had a very slow start as I had to shake off some rust. Before I knew it, we were down 10-0. After that, we put up 52 unanswered points in a 52-10 win in which Bell shined.

Edit: We are all set to advance

We added two more commits:

Ryan Allen, the #4 SS in the nation and #1 in California. He is a bit undersized but has terrific speed.

4 Star DE Johnny Schroeder is from Alaska and is the #9 DE in the nation. He is undersized but our staff thinks he is a diamond in the rough.

On the downside, very disappointed to drop to 4th in the polls.

We wanted to demolish UCLA and feature our RB as we have a visiting RB this week. Well, we accomplished featuring our RB some, but Bell had a rough game as he was forcing way too many throws. He threw quite a few picks and maybe cost himself the Heisman lead. We still beat them 56-30 behind mosly good defense, two kick returns for a TD, and some nice throws from Bell who bounced back from each pick with a TD.

We completely dominated Stanford in every phase of the game. The only thing they did well was run the ball in the 1st quarter. The league is all set to advance

Another big week recruiting. We got the #2 QB in the country who is a pure QB and the #16 athlete who could be a dynamic scrambling QB or a few other positions for us including a corner back.

We just played the best game I've ever played. Our offense was completely dominant early. Our defense was completely dominant. We were up 35-7 with over 250 yards passing before the end of the 1st quarter. Bell started out 14 of 14 before I got overconfident and threw a bad pick in the 2nd quarter. 2 interceptions by Bell slowed us down in the 2nd quarter and we were only up 49-10 at the half. We went back to playing mistake free ball in the 2nd half and even got our backups in for part of the 4th as we won 119-20!

Some of the notable stats:

Bell finished with 766 yards passing, 12 TD's and 2 INT's on 48 of 55 passing.

Walter Spencer who played part of the 4th finished with 4 of 5 passing for 77 yards and a TD.

Bell ran it in 3 more times for a total of 15 TD's on the day. He finished just shy of 100 yards rushing.

RS FR WR T.J. Lambert had his true coming out party as finished with 23 catches for 485 yards and 7 TD's.

MLB (our only good LB) Adam Hahl had 3 sacks, 9 tackles, and defended 2 passes.

We had 12 sacks as a team including 3 by DE Marcus Ervin.

I'm hopeful these last 2 games are a sign that we finally have our defense sorted out

By some coincidence, we beat Toledo 119-20.

Should we consider moving to Heisman or something on offense?

USC demolished Washington but we suffered a major blow as T.J. Lambert our star RS FR WR suffered a serious injury that will keep him out of the rest of the regular season and likely our bowl game as well. Lambert has the perfect balance of size, speed, and skills and we have gone to him heavily this year, but his replacement is actually faster and we have plenty of depth at WR.

Wow. Lambert ends his season with 96 catches for 1568 yards and 23 TD's. That is going to be missed

Just as an update, I was out of town last weekend, and haven't gotten my game in yet. I may be able to tonight, if not, then probably Sunday. Looks like CU still has to play as well.
