The Rose Bowl

Here's hoping for a great game between Mack '' We want to go to The Rose Bowl'' Brown and Llyod Carr.
Final score:

Michigan 23
Texas 21

Texas -7 is my bowl game of the year, I'm expecting an easy double digit win.

I hope that it's a great fight. I haven't seen a good Rose Bowl game since ASU v. OSU in cira. 1997 or 98.

When did Texas leave the Big 12 for the Pac 10?

Big play to Braylon.

He is going to take this game into his own hands like vs MSU.

Long day coming for the Texas secondary.

It's hard watching games like this. On one hand, great to see my team in a BCS game. On the other hand, they're up against a team that's one step away from a championship. It's a mismatch, and the -7 really is too low a spread.

Add that to some fairly horrible officiating in the first quarter, and it's a miracle it's still close.

Carr acts as if he's never seen a running quarterback before. Michigan used to eat those option guys for breakfast.

Big turn of events from the muffed punt, then Braylon being SO wide open.

Woodley has been the best defensive player on the field too. Johnson is the most talented but right now, Woodley is playing the best.

This is gunna be a good second half.

How can you not have a saftey on him when a slant is so obvious in that situation? He could be the biggest gamebreaker in the NCAA because if you want to stop him, you can't. He's just been dominating.

Already two more TD's in this third then Texas has allowed all year. Gotta' love it.

I understand Michigan is not the best coached team in the world.

I also understand Texas isn't the best coached team in the world either. I've watched Texas plenty of times this year and I wouldn't put a single dollar on them. (win or lose)

When they play well, they are simply incredible to watch. Yet they don't play like a well oiled machine that often. And they are very beatable if you can force Young to make decisions.

Were I betting, I'd have stayed so far away from this game it would make your head spin. After seeing some of the early results, which included most of the Big 10 teams playing pretty well, I'd have moved even further away.

I like the Utah, Auburn, and OU lines far more than this one anyway. Pushed, I'd say I'd pick Utah as my best bet. I think they are just going to light up Pitt in the second half.

Go Blue! Why is the Rose Bowl, the one game, I always love to watch, no matter who's playing in it (while, expect atleast one Big Ten or Pac-10 school)?

Vincent Young, great runner, horrible passer. As the time continues to tick away, the running aspect is gunna start going with it.

Also, how many games has it been for Benson with a TD?

Just like the Ohio State quarterback. Michigan makes these running quarterbacks look a lot better than they are. Poor tackling, poor defensive scheme.

He can fucking run, thats for sure. Michigan needs a sustained drive, and then needs to put it in the endzone. Make him actually have to pass. We can't let him have time on the clock to where he can decide to take a chance to run.

What make it so aggravating is that Young is obviously looking to run first. There's no spy underneath. So they contain with the rush, but that's only half the battle.

I just hope they can sustain this drive. Carr's instinct is to go conservative, but so far Edwards has been amazing. And Henne just overthrew an easy touchdown, damnit.

Michigan gets points, but I have to feel holding them to a field goal (after the penalty) is huge for Texas.

Jeez, in 2 plays, Texas is almost in the Red Zone. Michigan really needed that TD.

Is it a rule in bowl games this year that if you're under 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter that you don't play defense?

This is the one of the worst defensive teams Michigan has ever put on the field. Certainly the most overrated. And I've seen at least seven games a year for more than 30 years.
