IWS #212 - Stupid Sings a Rainbow
The Rules
The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game’s omnipotent and most truly beloved founding pantheon. The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Yes, that word "product" here in the States means that they will be multiplied together, not added. Highest score wins. Collaboration of any kind is strictly forbidden. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants. Just don't be an asshat, and this should end well. All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and utterly inarguable, no exceptions. Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However... Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "What is the greatest TV comedy of all time" and you answer "Gunsmoke" along with 13 other people who are obviously TRO using different aliases, you each regrettably will be awarded 14 points -- even though the correct answer is "I Love Lucy." ******************************************************* The Hall of Heroes
Spoiler
******************************************************* IWS #212 -- Stupid Sings a Rainbow 1. Name a song which contains a color in its title. 2. Name a performer or group of performers whose stage name contains a color. 3. Name a species which has a color as part of its common name. 4. Name someone, real or imaginary, who does not have a color in their name but is strongly associated with one. ******************************************************* Please PM your answers to me with "IWS #212" in the title. The contest will run until 3PM on Wednesday, March 12th.

I had a brilliant answer for #6 but I left it off because I figured I would be on my own with it. |

Bump! 22 entries so far. A good start, but would like to see many more (it's fun to see if some answers start to pull away).

Calling my shot … I will record the lowest IWS score ever. Has anyone ever scored 1?

I'm convinced many have tried and accomplished that with obscure answers.

Sent. Ugh, that was brutal but it certainly was unique. It wasn't like there was some Googling to be had, it was just impossible to try and come up with what others would say.
Kudos to you on this one, cuervo72 SI

Thanks. Yeah, this is a little tricky because there are quite a few answers for all of them (even if #6 seems to be requiring a little more thought than others). Apologies to the folks who have submitted in the past couple days who have not gotten confirmation PMs, which I did earlier. But, rest assured I am keeping room in my in-box (saved all sent messages that I still had, dating back to 2003) and will check and recheck all entries. Looking forward to entering them into the spreadsheet tonight to see how the numbers are progressing.

Sent mine late yesterday. Some answers seem obvious while I have no idea what to expect on others.
