The 49ers got themselves what looks to be an outstanding player. But man that was alot of money! Going to be interesting to see how that ends up working out for them. I have no doubts he will be a special player.

On the home front, we didn't have a ton of money this year (started out the season actually over the cap buy 12 mil), but we did manage to convince a few players to not go to Atlanta, they wouldn't like the heat in pre-season camp.

Pretty huge haul for us. A little concerned about the cohesion hits we are going to take along the offensive and defensive lines, but the talent upgrades will probably make up for that.

We started filling out an actual starting lineup with a C, G, QB (young guy, not sure where he'll fit yet), DT, and DE. Lots of rookies and I did not get a chance to look at the draft class first so I'm not sure where I'm really at until after TC.

Ya, the chargers reaped the benefits of Philly's explosion last year, those poor players are probably tired of house shopping by now.

I only made a couple signings this year to shore up my secondary and O-line, the team is pretty much together for the next 3-5 years. Just need some cohesion, which I think means biting the bullet and overpaying the few vets I have to stick around.

Free agency has not been nearly as ferocious as I imagined with all the new owners, SFO did fall right in love with that CB tho, heh.

I think this year has been tougher then the last few, I didn't lead on almost any of my offers after FA2:1. I only led on some after FA2:2. Of course the teams leading ahead of almost all of mine were ATL, PIT, CIN which tells me that we all likely look at the same things from draftable players since I notice us all going after some of the same guys each year.

I did see alot of activity from several teams, but at positions I didn't really need or target.
