So, I learned something new for myself last night. Some of you likely already knew this but I learned the hard way

The contracts are done in the order that you enter them in the game. I had been under the incorrect assumption that renegotiations are done and then new contracts if you had to get under the cap to place new offers.

Instead, it simply is the order you put them in. So if you offer contracts while over the cap and then do the rengotiations to get yourself under the cap, you'll still have the offers fail for being over the cap.

Oh well, I needed to rebuild anyways so might as well blow this thing up now that I screwed up big time

Yes definitely blow up your team and start over says a GM in your division.
