After a bidding war likely to go into the 13 mil 3 year range for S Sam Snyder I end up offering a very low offer just for the hell of it. Chicago pulls out to put more money into S Cary Arnett and I get Sam for 10 mil less.

Phew, but I am happy about landing the WR that will hopefully take over from where Stephen Morris left off. Walter Broxon looks okay from what I can see in the trade screen bars, be interesting to see where his bars go. My only concern with him was his Sole Score.

A big goal of mine this offseason was to shore up the secondary. I think I took some good strides in that direction.

Bah, like a fucking garage sale, this stage is.

How much for that there busted ashtray?
Four bucks.
Really, four bucks? It looks like it has a chip or two in it.
Yeah, I guess it does.
How about a quarter?
Sold.

Madness indeed.

In an odd twist of fate I had filled most of my needs in the first two stages. I picked up a ton of mid-level 50-60 ovr types this year. Like the two Safeties I signed this stage, they'll both convert to CB at 97% and given their bars, they'll make great ones. Add to that the 5 OL I signed in the first two stages when I only needed 1 or 2 and I'm very happy about my depth situation. Too bad depth doesn't mean much in this league.

Depth means a lot in Cinci. And we may have a new offensive philosophy on the way this season given the events of stage 3.
