What happens if I exported with less than the 44 minimum required players?

Game says it will sign players for me, but I have $0 left for anyone. I currently have 38 players.

The AI will have to do some things to give you a legal roster. Hard to guess exactly what it will do there.

I think it that situation it will just sign you enough players and put you over the cap. No big deal.

Sweet Camp. Lots of growth, very little shrinkage.

My 8th year starting QB loses 6 points? Sigh. Maybe at least now he won't ask for $20mil/year to resign with me.

All that mattered was how Kalu fared and he went +5/+3....solid camp.

We need a ChangeTracker feature where we can ignore guys under 20. I always love the scrubs gaining 4-5 points in camp in an effort to fool you into keeping them...

+1

Because I have so many rookies, I had a lot of drops. I can't complain, yet, though. With some of the big drops, it is probable that I won't be resigning about half my rookies when their contracts expire

Out of all the rookies, only had 3 to jump +3 or more future in camp. Very happy to see WR Pete Fletcher jump. I overpaid for him a bit (next bid was $10 over 3 years LESS than my offer), but it looks like it was worth it, as I had him rated 3rd best WR in this rookie class, behind Kalu and Penn (who was +3/-3 for me).

Didn't expect the big +5/-6 from C Roman Twisp. I hoped, from his combines, that he would hold his ratings. Was also hoping to get a jump from QB Erik Fleming... hoping his 91 Position Drill (highest of the rookie QBs) would mean more... Oh, well, I took a shot. Also had the same problem with OLB Vincent Kiefer (+3/-7). Was hoping his high 37 Position Drill would help him survive training camp, but no go for him also. At least he can still be a Special Teams monster. I was surprised that OLB Jamie McDonald went +4/-3, as I thought he had a very good combine.

In all, not many big surprises. I played the 'HOPE' card quite a bit and it didn't pay off (damn hope!), and most players did about what was expected. I'm satisfied, for now, and can't wait until 2042!!

This is normal, take a look at the WR I got in 2037 - Drew Jeffries. Currently rated a 59/59 by my scout and has had a average career to date. This season he will get start at SE as he played very well at that position in the playoffs last season.

2037
Baltimore
Late FA3
Offer withdrawn due to lack of cap room: 3yrs, $30,000,000.
2037
Houston
Late FA3
Signed as free agent: 3yrs, $87,220,000.
2037
Indianapolis
Late FA3
Turned down a contract offer: 3yrs, $42,420,000.
2037
New York
Late FA3
Turned down a contract offer: 4yrs, $47,650,000.

You can never really overpay for someone in this league, if you want them, you do what you must to get them.

In contrast to Drew Jeffries, look at my STAR WR Irv Morrish who is rated 72/72 by my scout and has had nice career so far.

2036
Houston
Late FA3
Signed as free agent: 3yrs, $32,600,000.
2036
Arizona
Late FA3
Turned down a contract offer: 3yrs, $19,600,000.
2036
Cincinnati
Late FA3
Turned down a contract offer: 3yrs, $25,690,000.
2036
Indianapolis
Late FA3
Turned down a contract offer: 3yrs, $23,420,000.

I was lucky as the 2036 draft class was littered with talented WRs (I landed 3 good ones from this class) and I remember some 'sighs' from owners who thought they should have offered more. He was far from looking like a stud as a rookie, his combine was what had me going after him. He was rated 45/52 in the draft class.
