At least there were a couple other legitimate offers. Fine to see ATL get him back, but I'd hate to see him come back cheap for lack of options, especially in this league.

I actually looked to see that myself. After I got my QB back virtually without competition (only Indianapolis), I was curious to see if a "name brand" QB would get more offers, and it looks like he did. Of course no one was beating ATL with his offer that was made.

Yeah. I offered maxbonus, and then flat salary in the amount that I needed to afford to extend everyone. I signed several rookies three years ago, some to big bonuses, so probably somewhere in the range of $15M-$25M is coming off of our base cap next year, so it shouldn't be a problem long-term, but we'll be cap-strapped a bit this year.

Was surprised to land the rookie CB Van Pelt... looks like I may have overpaid, actually. *shurg*

I noticed something interesting about those guys. You and I both went after two rookie CBs, but we obviously priced them differently. I had Van Pelt #2, and you had him #1 it appears.

I think it will be very interesting to see which pans out the better CB (even though both look like they should be good.
