I wondered why there was a sudden interest in Tutoring at the bowling alley. My mistake.

I actually avoided a rather uncomfortable situation at the bowling center a few weeks ago.

Some hot blonde was bowling with her friends and getting drunk from a pitcher of beer. She bought a pizza to share with her friends. They were ready to leave, so she spent the next 10 minutes trying to give slices of the pizza away to total strangers. Honestly, when I am bowling, I really am concentrating on bowling. I don't notice a lot of people around me unless they talk to me first. This woman offered a slice of pizza to the guy who was bowling next to me, and he declined. He told her to give the pizza to me instead. Now, this woman hadn't said anything to me all night, but she was trying to get rid of the pizza, so she approached me. She handed me the slice of pizza and before saying a word, she literally tried to shove her tongue down my throat. Drunk hot blonde tries to make out with me for no apparent reason. I managed to dodge her sloppy drunk kiss and she got me on the cheek instead. Then I ate the slice of pizza because, hey, free pizza.

Moments later, she ran across the bowling center and grabbed some guy's crotch in front of his pregnant wife. That started a loud shouting match that I sort of paid attention to, but I was working on 7 strikes in a row, so I didn't really catch everything that was going on. All I know is that the drunk girl ended up running away from the pregnant woman and decided to use me as a human shield. Welp, so much for getting 8 strikes in a row. It's hard to throw a good shot with a drunk blonde wrapped around me.

I hate bowling sometimes.

Does the fast food restaurant Sonic actually exist? I've seen 5000 commercials for it and never actually seen one in person.

Yeah, not sure why they advertise the hell out of it here, but the closest one is some 25 miles away.

I usually stop at the Sonic in Gilroy if I drive to San Diego. Don't know of any near me though.

I just happened to be sucking down on a Sonic chocolate shake and finishing off a large order of Sonic tater tots when I read this thread.

They claim to have some in Illinois. I'll assume you guys aren't in on the joke.

Speaking of fast food chains, Fazolis needs to get bigger. Wisconsin folks will know what I'm talking about.

Chick-Fil-A opened by me but they aren't open on Sundays when I'd be looking for some fast food. So Wendys has become my go-to football food. Did get a 5 guys by my Mom's house in the suburbs that I have hit up on the way home.

Wendy's passed BK as the #2 fast food joint recently. I found that pretty interesting.

You're probably pretty close to the Five Guys on Clark and Fullerton? But yeah, I'm with you on Sonic -- never seen one.

I lived down the street from a Sonic in San Antonio. I think everyone in San Antonio lives down the street from Sonic though. There's one about 20 minutes from here, but after eating it every now and then for 4 years I don't really have any interest in driving 20 minutes for their food. Their Island Fire burger (I think that's what it was called) was very good, but I thought the rest of their food was average for fast food.

We did just get a 5 guys here a couple months ago. Definitely lives up to the hype. Amazing burgers and the Cajun fries are outstanding as well. My son is a fan of the electronic soda machines.

I didn't even know there was one on Clark & Fullerton. I'm at Lincoln & Diversey so it's pretty close. Thanks for the heads up. I was talking about the new one up in Glenview.

We have a Chick-Fil-A down by the mall, but compared to other chains it's a pain to get there (and it is usually really crowded).

Closest Sonic is in Lancaster AFAIK, though they are building one in Hagerstown. That's still about a half hour away though.

It's been there for a while -- where the Ritz Camera used to be. It's right on the corner, so if you go there, you can't miss it. Wow, I think you said you were in LP/Lakeview before, so I figured you were pretty close to me, but I didn't think it would be THAT close -- I was at Sheffield and Barry until a few months ago.

I had the same thought process about Sonic about 8 years ago when the commercials were all over but there wasn't one within a few hours of NY/NJ. Within a few years, a couple popped up, and now they are pretty frequent to come across.

Why would full-time officials in the NFL make any sort of a difference? This seems to be some wide held common belief, and I just don't see how it would change anything. The guys are largely doing all the games that are available anyways.

I think the notion is that they spend the down time honing their craft instead of selling insurance.

Fazoli's is based in Lexington. I haven't eaten there is years though. Not a big fan. For Italian, I prefer Mac Grill/Carraba's style bread than Olive Garden/Fazoli's style breadsticks.

I discovered just in the past couple weeks that the only good way to eat Jelly Bellys is to grab at minimum three at a time and at random and pop them in your mouth. Eating one individually doesn't give you much flavor and you're unlikely to find enough of one flavor in one bag to make a difference. So tossing in three at a time gives you a wealth of flavor and can surprise you with the combinations.

Plus, popcorned butter, black licorice, red hot, whatever, those kinda go away when combined with other, better tasting beans.
