Prior to the draft, we are allowed to switch home teams. After thinking this over quite a bit, I decide to move to Los Angeles (NL). I will get St Louis rookies at the end of this year, but will receive Los Angeles rookies at the end of next year.

This means I most likely won't get Joc Pederson this year from LA, but hope to get Stephen Piscotty from St Louis.

Seattle moves to Atlanta
St Louis moves to Los Angeles
San Francisco moves to Washington
Seattle/Atlanta moves to St Louis

**we allow teams that move to then move again if a new team opens up since their previous move. In this case Seattle moved to Atlanta and then decided to move to St Louis when I moved to LA.

2015 Draft

Note: Houston made a ton of moves to acquire a lot of front loaded draft picks.

I had pick 1.14, but at the time of my pick, I wasn't sold on anyone in particular. I still liked Matt Shoemaker, but felt I could trade down and still get him. I also do not like the idea of taking a MR/CL in the 1st round/2nd round, when I am still trying to build a team and don't quite consider my self in prime contention for a World Series title.

3/1/15
-----------
When my pick came up, I moved down.
Miami receives: 1st round pick (1.14), 5th round pick (5.10), 5th round pick (5.14)
Los Angeles receives: 2nd round pick (2.2), 4th round pick (4.2), 6th round pick (6.2).

I move down 3 spots twice 1.14 to 2.2, and 5.14 to 6.2, to move up 23 picks 5.10 to 4.2

Round 1

New York(NL) -- Jose Abreu, 1B, Chicago(AL)
Boston -- Michael McKenry, C, Colorado
Miami -- Dellin Betances, RP, New York(AL)
St. Louis -- Josh Harrison, IF/OF, Pittsburgh
Houston -- Jake Arrieta, SP, Chicago(NL)
San Diego -- Danny Santana, CF/SS, Minnesota
Houston -- Garrett Richards, SP, Los Angeles(AL)

Oakland -- J.D. Martinez, OF, Detroit
Washington -- Masahiro Tanaka, SP, New York(AL)
Tampa Bay -- Steve Pearce, 1B/OF, Baltimore
Pittsburgh -- Phil Hughes, SP, Minnesota
Miami -- Hector Rondon, RP, Chicago(NL)
Houston -- Pat Neshek, RP, St. Louis

Round 2

Tampa Bay -- Wade Davis, RP, Kansas City
Los Angeles(NL) -- Matt Shoemaker, P, Los Angeles(AL)
Boston -- Tony Sipp, RP, Houston
Minnesota -- Ender Inciarte, OF, Arizona
Baltimore -- Dallas Keuchel, SP, Houston

Houston -- Andrew Miller, RP, Baltimore
New York(NL) -- Zach Britton, RP, Baltimore
Oakland -- Lonnie Chisenhall, 3B, Cleveland
San Diego -- Seth Smith, OF, San Diego
Washington -- David Peralta, OF, Arizona
Washington -- Drew Storen, RP, Washington
Pittsburgh -- Luis Valbuena, IF, Chicago(NL)
New York(NL) -- Kyle Hendricks, SP, Chicago
Houston -- Billy Hamilton, CF, Cincinnati

I add another SP in Shoemaker. Would have liked to get Billy Hamilton if I had a different 2nd round pick, but felt 2.2 was way too high to take him.

Round 3

Baltimore -- Joakim Soria, RP, Detroit
Miami -- Adam Warren, RP, New York (AL)
Boston -- Travis Snider, OF, Pittsburgh
Minnesota -- Cliff Pennington, IF, Arizona
Baltimore -- Javier Baez, IF, Chicago (NL)
Kansas City -- Michael Morse, LF/1B, San Francisco
Minnesota -- Dan Otero, RP, Oakland
Baltimore -- Nick Castellanos, 3B, Detroit
Oakland -- Robinson Chirinos, C, Texas

San Diego -- Rene Rivera, C, San Diego
Chicago(NL) -- Brandon McCarthy, SP, New York(AL)

Round 4

Tampa Bay -- Jason Hammel, SP, Oakland
Los Angeles(NL) -- Francisco Cervelli, C, New York(AL)
Boston -- Logan Morrison, 1B/OF, Seattle
Chicago(NL) -- Arismendy Alcantara, CF/2B, Chicago(NL)
Baltimore -- Trevor Bauer, SP, Cleveland
Washington -- Marwin Gonzales, IF/LF, Houston
Boston -- Roman Mendez, RP, Texas
St. Louis -- Danny Duffy, P, Kansas City
Oakland -- Kevin Jepsen, RP, Los Angeles(AL)
Tampa Bay -- Kris Negron, IF/LF, Cincinnati
Minnesota -- Collin Cowgill, OF, Los Angeles(AL)
New York(NL) -- Fernando Abad, RP, Oakland
Pittsburgh -- Francisco Rodriguez, RP, Milwaukee
Boston -- Kyle Lobstein, P, Detroit
Boston -- Joe Kelly, SP, Boston

I add a Catcher; one of the few hitting catchers in the draft.
Cervelli may end up getting quite a few ABs now that he is in Pitt, so I am hoping this turns into a starter.

Round 5

Baltimore -- C.J. Cron, 1B, Los Angeles(AL)
Chicago(NL) -- Zach Walters, IF/OF, Chicago(NL)
Boston -- Daniel Robertson, OF/2B, Texas
Minnesota -- Delmon Young, OF, Baltimore
Houston -- Alexi Amarista, IF/OF, San Diego
Houston -- Buddy Carlyle, RP, New York(NL)
Houston -- Jared Hughes, RP, Pittsburgh
Houston -- Zach Putnam, RP, Chicago(AL)
Oakland -- Ryan Hanigan, C, Tampa Bay
Miami -- Jonathan Broxton, RP, Milwaukee
Washington -- Yusmeiro Petit, P, San Francisco
Tampa Bay -- Chris Stewart, C, Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh -- Shawn Tolleson, RP, Texas
Miami -- Fernando Rodney, RP, Seattle
Pittsburgh -- David Lough, OF, Baltimore

Round 6

New York(NL) -- Rougned Odor, 2B, Texas
Los Angeles(NL) -- Chris Owings, SS/2B, Arizona
Boston -- Jarred Cosart, SP, Miami
Minnesota -- Cody Asche, 3B, Philadelphia
Los Angeles(NL) -- Scott Kazmir, SP, Oakland
Tampa Bay -- Christian Bethancourt, C, Atlanta
Los Angeles(NL) -- Mike Olt, 3B/1B, Chicago (NL)
Tampa Bay -- Neil Ramirez, RP, Chicago (NL)
Oakland -- Vidal Nuno, P, Arizona
Los Angeles(NL) -- Jose Ramirez, SS/2B, Cleveland
Washington -- Marcus Semien, IF, Chicago (AL)
Tampa Bay -- Carlos Sanchez, 2B/SS, Chicago(AL)
Pittsburgh -- Jackie Bradley, OF, Boston
San Diego -- Jon Niese, SP, New York(NL)
Miami -- Freddy Galvis, IF, Philadelphia

Having only 2 picks in the first 5 rounds, I have to try and land a future starter here. Owings and Ramirez are both starting SS for their team. Ramirez also has a pretty good defensive rating at 2B

I'm shocked that Kazmir has dropped this low, so have to take a shot on the lefty.

Olt was formerly a highly touted prospect. He has good power, and a very good glove at 3B, but has struggled at the plate. They think they may found the issue, as he had eye issues and think they've corrected it.

Round 7

New York(NL) -- John Mayberry Jr, OF/1B, Toronto
Miami -- Ramiro Pena, IF, Atlanta
Boston -- Rickie Weeks, 2B, Milwaukee
Minnesota -- Justin De Fratus, RP, Philadelphia
Tampa Bay -- Jenrry Mejia, RP, New York(NL)
Tampa Bay -- Cliff Lee, SP, Philadelphia
San Diego -- Zach Duke, RP, Milwaukee
Los Angeles(NL) -- Jeurys Familia, RP, New York(NL)
Oakland -- Matt den Dekker, OF, New York (NL)
Los Angeles(NL) -- Ryan Cook, RP, Oakland
Washington -- Dale Thayer, RP, San Diego
New York(NL) -- Kirk Nieuwenhuis, OF, New York(NL)
Pittsburgh -- Martin Maldonado, C, Milwaukee
Washington -- Tyler Flowers, C, Chicago(AL)
New York(NL) -- Don Kelly, IF/OF, Detroit

Familia has a dominant card vs right handed batters, and terrible vs lefties. I plan on using him to get 1-2 outs, and realize I can't use him for more than a full inning. He also has a 20 wild pitch rating, which makes him a big liability with runners on base.

Cook has a good card, but limited innings. If he had more innings, he would have gone higher in the draft.

Round 8

New York(NL) -- Ramon Santiago, IF/LF, Cincinnati
Chicago(NL) -- Jimmy Nelson, P, Milwaukee
Chicago(NL) -- Cory Rasmus, P, Los Angeles(AL)
Washington -- Daisuke Matsuzaka, P, New York(NL)
Baltimore -- Kyle Gibson, SP, Minnesota
Baltimore -- Tom Koehler, SP, Miami
Chicago(NL) -- Nick Vincent, RP, San Diego
St. Louis -- Anthony Varvaro, RP, Atlanta
Miami -- Tim Stauffer, P, San Diego
Los Angeles(NL) -- Tommy La Stella, 2B, Atlanta
Washington -- Darin Ruf, 1B/3B/LF, Philadelphia
San Diego -- Tommy Hunter, RP, Baltimore
Pittsburgh -- Justin Grimm, RP, Chicago(NL)
Kansas City -- Scott Atchison, RP, Cleveland
Minnesota -- Carlos Corporan, C, Houston

La Stella is known as a solid hitting prospect, but a bad fielder. I've heard him mentioned as a young Dan Uggla.

Round 9

Kansas City -- Shawn Kelley, RP, New York(AL)
Miami -- Ryan Flaherty, IF/RF, Baltimore
Chicago(NL) -- Chase Anderson, SP, Arizona
Minnesota -- Domonic Brown, LF, Philadelphia
Baltimore -- Jake Petricka, RP, Chicago(AL)
San Diego -- Rymer Liriano, RF, San Diego
St. Louis -- Jake Lamb, 3B, Arizona
St. Louis -- Ryan Rua, LF/1B/3B, Texas
Oakland -- Tommy Kahnle, RP, Colorado
Los Angeles(NL) -- Sam Fuld, OF, Oakland
Kansas City -- Scott Baker, P, Texas
San Diego -- Yunel Escobar, SS, Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh -- Fernando Salas, RP, Los Angeles(AL)
Kansas City -- David DeJesus, OF, Tampa Bay
Chicago(NL) -- Brad Miller, SS, Seattle

Fuld has 2's in LF, CF and RF, so will be a nice defensive replacement.

Round 10

Kansas City -- Omar Infante, 2B, Kansas City
Miami -- Edwin Jackson, SP, Chicago(NL)
Chicago(NL) -- Josh Fields, RP, Houston
Chicago(NL) -- Rubby De La Rosa, SP, Boston
New York(NL) -- Yonder Alonso, 1B, San Diego
St. Louis -- Vance Worley, SP, Pittsburgh
St. Louis -- Jeremy Hellickson, SP, Tampa Bay
St. Louis -- Stephen Drew, SS, New York(AL)
Oakland -- Enrique Hernandez, IF/OF, Miami
Kansas City -- Jordan Schafer, OF, Minnesota
Minnesota -- Andrew Romine, 2B/SS, Detroit
Kansas City -- Joe Beimel, RP, Seattle
St. Louis -- Jeremy Guthrie, SP, Kansas City
Kansas City -- Tuffy Gosewisch, C, Arizona
St. Louis -- TJ House, SP, Cleveland

Supplemental Draft
TEAM SELECTION
New York(NL) Brad Ziegler, RP, Arizona
Miami Chris Parmelee, 1B/OF, Minnesota
Boston Daniel Descalso, IF, St. Louis
Minnesota Jose Molina, C, Tampa Bay
Baltimore Hank Conger, C, Los Angeles(AL)
San Diego Robbie Grossman, OF, Houston
Houston Donovan Solano, IF, Miami
St. Louis Anthony Recker, C, New York(NL)
Oakland Josh Thole, C, Toronto
Los Angeles(NL) Wil Nieves, C, Philadelphia
Washington Jerry Blevins, RP, Washington
Tampa Bay James Jones, OF, Seattle
Pittsburgh Ed Lucas, OF/IF, Miami
Kansas City Munenori Kawasaki, IF, Toronto
Chicago(NL) David Murphy, OF, Cleveland

Since we require 3 catchers on our roster, and I only have 2, I had to go C here. None of decisions were very strong, and all were very similar, so I bring back Nieves - our 2nd catcher from last year.
