So if we're thinking one of DV or path is cunning, D1 is probably the most interesting.

path would have been putting his teammate on the block with his other teammate as the only people with votes - granted its early and things change on D1, but that'd be a risky play.

DV on the other hand puts JAG up over both of them

So based on voting records, let me know what you think CW since you said you are looking too, but DV looks slightly worse than path. Not getting a vote in two days in a row is a reason to be voted on its own, but we can't spite vote at this point.

I want to see what path has to say before I make any decisions today.

I'm not understanding why it's more likely that a wolf has somehow gotten the cunning ability then them being able to use Path to make a bid.

If you think there was a cunning role at the start then what does that do to the symmetry of the game? If they gained it during the game, then when? How did they gain it?

In one respect we might want to go with Path or DV - if there was a conversion then it's pretty important that we get a wolf today. Otherwise I think we should be able to bash things out once the roles are up again.

Way back in the dark ages of this game, DV had pinged me early. I laid off once Narc had cleared him via scan. More will have to wait till later.

Bizarre statement if you believe that there is only one wolf left. Splitting the vote is exactly what we CAN afford to do. Or am I missing something?

Y'know, this is bullshit. I have been absolutely forthcoming about everything I've done this game. If you want to suspect me that is fine but don't start fuckin' saying that I haven't been bothering to help. I've been telling you every goddamn thing that has been happening on my end, including the results from the black market, so fuck you. GAH.

Here are my bets:
D1 -- bet on Zinto after the deadline, bet didn't count.
D2 -- bet fontesian/chief rum/daddy torgo. Bid $160 for casino manager. Won $1020 for bet and got $2709 from casino manager.
D3 -- bet britrock/darth vilius. Bid $160 for Friends for life.
D4 -- bet britrock/daddy torgo. Bid $800 for seer. Won $273.
D5 -- bet murr5y/zinto. Bid $1025 for arms dealer.
D6 -- bet murr5y. Bid $3412 for hitman.
D7 -- bet britrock/mauchow. No money for bid. Won $18.

Path - this is when I thought it was either mau or you. I was pretty sure that mau was/is good so I thought that meant you're a wolf and would realise that you've been scanned as bad so wouldn't bother trying to defend yourself.

Is all.

No offence intended.

Sorry for blowing up, I'm just frustrated. After a few games where I was getting back into the swing and not playing great I felt like I've done a pretty good job for the village this game.

What worries me is that we're (well you lot) are going to presume that there's no way someone else could have got the killer yesterday so it must be Path or DV who are cunning and then if they're not and we lynch them both then we're going to be in an end game. Where we lose.

This doesn't quite seem to add up right. $1000 start, $4020 in winnings minus $4372 in bids and $18 balance makes $630 unaccounted?

I'll go back through my PM's in a little bit (have a couple things to do) but wanted to call it out before someone else did.

Actually Jackal, what did you get on Path? You mention surveillance which seems to fit in with what Chief got but not what I got.

My scan was about past records and stuff and I did react to the phrasing of the last statement. At the time I just thought it was wording that Autumn had chucked in to cover the eventuality that the wolves had got the judge. I don't know. I remember the Rome game where the village voted out people who had been cleared by the seer and it struck me as madness. But that's what we're talking about doing here.

I'm kind of running out of time to get much else done here.

Screw it. Call it a punishment vote for not participating and for getting $2200 off of me. Without my clearance we wouldn't even be thinking about this given his record. Admittedly fonti put a second vote on him day two but that was when the wolves probably suspected that one of them was in trouble. DV scanned Brit despite me saying that Brit was probably going to reveal as bad and I think his reaction after Brit's death looks a bit stage-managed.

Vote Darth Vilus

My scan report seems slightly more ambiguous than Jackal's and Chief's. Something, somewhere isn't right - it might be that the wolf could make two bids. Or it could be that the wolves somehow managed to get a cunning. Or it could be that DV is some sort of non-mob, hostile role. Whatever. He's been the least helpful or active so let's kill him and see what happens.

Interested in hearing what Path has to say about his missing money. I'm wondering if the wolves can bid on a service without it being noticed. Which leads back to the DA actually having been taken. It just seemed to fantastical that the wolves wouldn't bid on it.

Someone is fucking with my bank account. There is now like $900 in there but all of it is unaccessable. That's the only tangible thing so far and I got that message this morning.

This isn't directed at me but I'll mention that when I scanned Danny I didn't get anything like what he was doing last night, Ms. Black just brought in a bunch of paperwork about how crooked he was.

Alright, I put a quick chart together to try and piece this together with my bank account.

Bear with me, it won't format right to cut and paste:

Beg Bal Spend Win Total
D1 $1000 $0 $0 $1000 (bets in late, no bid)
D2 $1000 $160 $3729 $4569 ($1020 bet/$2709 casino mgr)
D3 $4569 $0 $0 $4569 (bid $160 on Find-a-friend)
D4 $4569 $800 $0 $3769 (bid $800 on seer, scanned Danny)
D5 $3769 $0 $0 $3769 (bid $1025 on arms dealer)
D6 $3769 $3412 $0 $357 (bid $3412 hitman, killed murra5y)
(D6 is where it gets weird. i had asked for my balance before placing that bid on the hitman and was given $3412 and then believed i was at zero balance)
D7 $357 $0 $18 $375 (did not bid since i thought was out of cash)
D8 $375 $375 (bank balance now shows $914 but is unaccessable).

I have a PM into Autumn to try and verify the discrepancy between the balance given on D6 and what this suggests. It could have something to do with the black market bid I guess.

OK, got it figured out and this will be the last thing for my bank account.

There was a typo, the $2709 I got from the casino manager should have been $2079. I also missed a $273 bet win on D4. Change those numbers and we're balanced.

That was bugging me. Now to figure out a vote.

The shocking results of yesterday reverberate even now. News crews seem to blanket every corner in the city and the clamor outside the courthouse is insane. The nation wants to know what is happening here, and the stories of multiple murders are spread over every paper in the nation. The atmosphere is clear in Atlantic City. this mob trouble needs to be cleared up. Now.

No one is as certain as they once were, but calls come in one after another fingering a fellow named Darth Vilus. He is hauled in to the station for questioning, but he refuses to say a thing. Careful study of his hotel room show pictures taken all around the city, as if casing the joint. His guilt seems clear, and he is sent to the slammer.

Ironically it's Britrock, the former child TV star, who brings embarrassment back on the city again. "That's no mobster," he says on national TV in a shocking interview on the courthouse steps. "That guy's a photographer, you know, a paparazzi. He's been following me for months, he must have followed me here too. If he has any pictures of me, I want them destroyed."

The story holds up. Darth Vilus is no mobster, just a sleazy photographer. More egg in the face of the Atlantic City DA.

Darth Vilus was The Paparazzi. His goal was to find the Celebrity and snap some pictures.
