Yet another movie to get the reboot treatment.. Bill and Ted?????

are you fucking KIDDING me?

http://io9.com/375484/bill-and-teds-...cessary-remake

"The main differences are that the phone Bill and Ted use to travel through time isn't an old school phone booth, but something "funkier." Their band is called the Atomic Gorillas instead of the Wyld Stallyns. The script is supposedly full of "hip" pop culture references for today's kids, like Bill and Ted worrying they're going to miss "The Dark Knight."

This makes me ughtastic.

The original is one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies of all time... and they're killing its legacy with this.

On the bright side, Keanu could still pull this role off.

Shouldn't it be the Atomyk Gorillaz in keeping with the Wyld Stallyns?

Can't believe it has been almost 20 years since that movie was out.

How does the Dark Knight tie in with hip-hop culture, someone better start writing a thesis quick...and you figure by production/post production, Dark Knight will be out and long gone...unless this is direct to DVD swill.

On a separate note, when I saw 'Dark Knight' I was thinking 'Black Knight' with Martin Lawrence. Which then really confused me because I was trying to figure out why people would get jokes related to the 'Black Knight' movie since no one probably saw that...

And lastly, Diane Franklin was in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure..

Mmmm.... Diane Franklin. I wanted to teach Diane Franklin the international language of love in the 80's and plow her on the Dodger's infield.

It says "hip" pop culture, not hip-hop culture. So I can only assume some Britney Spears references.

Did they run out of video games or comic books to make into movies or something?

Sorry, but, there are just certain movies that don't need to be remade. Bill & Ted is one of them. Besides, who's going to play Missy.....I mean, mom?

Why stop? They should do Career Opportunities as well. They can do it in a Wal Mart now instead of a Target.

Agreed. No sequel to a movie whose TITLE promises one, and yet we get Highlander 2, 3, and a TV series?

I hope they make a sequel to Titanic, where they realize what had happened and they avoid all the icebergs and its just a boring sea cruise to across the ocean where nothing happens.

I've heard of Cocoon and Cocoon:The Return, but what is Cacoon?

Ca`coon´
n. 1. One of the seeds or large beans of a tropical vine (Entada scandens) used for making purses, scent bottles, etc

Also, any mention of the movie Cocoon automatically deserves a picture of Steve.

just today i was thinking about Bill and Ted's. I'm convinced that the worst scene of any movie ever is when Billy the Kid walks on stage and says... "I'm Billy the Kid". And there's this smattering of applause. And that's it. He doesn't even shoot someone's hat off.
The worst acted scene ever, by the way, also involes Keanu. It goes something like this:
Keanu the Quarterback: Are you pissed off?
Gary Busey: Hell yeah, I'm pissed off!
Keanu the Quarterback: Good! Then let's go get those guys!
