The Legend of Korra

First episode premiered last weekend, but they did do two preview episodes as well. So far it holds up to the quality of The Last Airbender. They did a good job of tippping the hat to the original while letting this new series be its own.

My kids are totally excited about it. They couldn't wait for the episode to start Saturday morning.

I'll hold off part of a season. Avatar was best watched in 2~4 episode chunks and I wouldn't want to really watch it at a 1 episode pace

I saw a review mention how they might handle the multiple book aspect and it looks like that's the direction the story line will go. It's still a solid episode.

Finished season one. The fact that it was originally suppose to be a single season explains a lot for why it wrapped up a little too well. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Yeah my kids love it, we recorded it and they've re-watched it all like 5 times.

Not sure what they'll do with it next.

Not surprised at all, but Korra will end up with 52 episodes.

I've only seen the first few episodes but I've liked what I've seen so far so that's good news. I don't think the characters are as well balanced or written as in Avatar (tho, again, only a few eps in). But I love the setting (steampunk roaring 20s) as a character as it leads to different writing opportunities.

It's a really great season. The only issue is that they knew they had 12 episodes so things wrapped up a little too well at the end. Now that they have 52 episodes to work with, it will be interesting to see where they go from here.

Yeah, I'm always worried that shows blow all their good ideas in the first season with no eye towards the future.
