I meant to post pics, but the place where I was going to host them is blocked by my office (yes I have to work the day after she was born).

FMLA grants you 12 weeks of leave after the baby is born. Your employer does not have to pay you, but they do have to give you the time off and hold your job. Unless you are part-time, new to the job, or work for a small company (and if so, it would suck that you had to go back to work that fast).

Yes. Yes it does. Your humanoid cloaking apparatus must require service.

Oh they were very willing to give me all the time off that I want, but I have a mortgage that I have to pay.

I am taking a couple of days off next week after my mother-in-law leaves town. We thought my wife would need me more then than she does right now when her mom is around to help.

Funny, my son Matthew was 8lbs and 12 ounces when he was born. The kid is a little beast.

That must be the difference between daughters and sons - I am convinced my son is always trying to confuse or trick me...most of the time I catch on, but every now and then, he gets me!

I think we should put our kids in a wrestling ring and see who is better.

I dunno... my kid is almost two now, and he kicks my ass all over the living room. His favorite thing is when I'm lying on the floor playing with my daughter, he climbs the sofa and launches himself at me. I think he's got the wrestling thing figured out...

That's pretty funny. The other day, Matt walked up and punched his cousin Dustin in the nuts because he wouldn't stop flicking Matt on the arm. I scolded him, but I was trying not to laugh when I was doing it. Teach him to pick on a helpless eight year old.

I know... that's the hardest part about being a parent... not laughing when something is funny.. but wrong.

9 pounds, try 9 lbs. 12 oz.! Granted the kid was all head, but my wife didn't care. I just shouldn't have mentioned that she had good birthing hips...
