Week 9 - We lose 6-33 at green Bay. S Haggans is knocked doubtful and LB Wilkerson is questionable.

Week 10 - BYE WEEK

Week 11 - We begin a long list of home games with few away games in here. Now I hope we can start winning some games.

We lose at home hosting the Lions, who we beat at their place, 17-29. Phil Green is our Game MVP with a 66 yard pick and return for a score for us. Ralph Barrett added a TD run for us. Irwin had 54 yards passing on the day. Ick. Meester had a pick.

QB McKnight is back next week.

Four of my Lbs are at questionable or worse. Glenn Ferguson is Out VERY LONG TERM and I IR him. I sign Nate Turnbull for the season.

Week 12 - We edge the Vikings 37-34. Mickey Baum is our Game MVP with 136 yards, 2 Tds, on 4 catches. McKnght also hit Prescott for a score.

Week 13 - We take out the Packers 27-14. DE Dennis Perry is Game MVP with 4 sacks. Rexin had a pick. Barrett had 132 yards and 2 score son 22 carries. McKnight hit Baum for a score and 187 yards on 8 catches. Barrett is NFL Offensive Player of the Week with 22 carries for 132 yards and 2 scores.

S Rexin is at questionable and will start though.

Week 14 - We shut out the 49ers 22-0. FB Winters had a TD run. Then add five Claude Johnson FGs. Barrett is Game MVP with 159 yards on 29 carries. Newhart had 2 picks, DT Murray had 2.5 sacks, and DE Perry had 2. FB Winters had 4 KRB. The Fullback!

We are now 6-7 and pertinent

Week 15 - We win on the road against the Vikings and are now 7-7.

OG Coffey will be back next week. Rookie LB Hulsey is OUT VERY LONG TERM. I IR him and sign LB Jon Esslinger for the rest of the year. Barrett is Game MVP with a rush and a catch for scores, 122 on 28 yards. McKnight also hit Prescott and Baum for scores . No picks, just one sack.

We now have a shot at 9-7 and perhaps, unlikely though the chance is, a shot at the playoffs as a wild card.

Week 16 - Unfortunately we lose 13-18 and go to 7-8. No second chances here. Rexin had a 100 yard KR return for a score. Barrett had a run. Perry added 1.5 picks.

The final game will just be for show.

Week 17 - We go 27-0 and win the week. I was sorta hoping we’d lose so I could get a better draft pick.

Barrett was Game Mvp with a 15 yard run and 125 yards on 27 carries Mitchell Spence caught his first and only TD of the year. Baum added a score. McKnight was held to 83 yards on the day. Ick.

Perry added two sacks and Newhart had a pick.

Becker had 5 KRB.

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: RB Ralph Barrett. He was one of ht rue shining lights on the squad, and I’ve never had a back with a receiving game as good as his last year.
Defensive Player of the Year: DE Dennis Perry. You are asked to take the QB down hard when you are a DE and he did so regularly. On a year when our sacks were really low, he was still second most in the league. Good job Perry.
Special Teams Player of the Year: S Tyrone Rexin. Good PR average, good KR average, and two Tds. This is an easy award to hand out.
Rookie of the Year: I started six. Who had the best year? C Jesse Tate, second on the team in KRB, and a solid year all around, just 3 sacks allowed.
Heart Award: FB Billy Winters. He is not good from his skills, but 13 KRB! That is awesome. Add a TD on the ground. Solid year by the FB.

Next year - decisions emerge

Do I use my franchise tag? There are two candidates. TE Mitchell Spence, who hasn’t done anything major for us but also has not had consistent QBing. The other option is to force McKnight to stay on my team. However, McKnight proved last year that he is not a permanent answer.

I am going to let both go.

I need quality players, and I need a good QB. Time to stop playing patty cake. Whatever it takes, this off season I intend to have a franchise QB.

I like my OG Bucky Coffey a lot, but I just got an offer for the 1/6 pick for him. That’s very tempting.

We draft pick 19.

There is a QB I’d take at the 6th pick, but my guess is he’d be gone by then. There are not as many obvious power players in the draft as in seasons past. There aren’t any knock out players, the kinds that are almost all full of happy bars, so the pick has less value to me, which is why they are offering it. I look at Coffey. Here is an OG that has 87/77/52 as his numbers. Very strong skillset.

Is this a trade worth doing?

I think yes, it is. Just barely. It gives me another shot at a QB. I accept. I get a super expensive RB too, I can cut him alter if I desire.

I also get an offer from the Jets for their 2/22 pick and a solid WR named Kennedy Banks. I give up QB Spencer Brady. Obviously, they think Brady can be something. I agree with this trade offer too.

Albuquerque screwed up. Perhaps. They allowed several of their players to leave via free agency. I can grab one or two if I want.

WR Thomas Foster, my 3rd WR is available
P Steve Washington is available but I don’t need him
CB Jimmie Rebensdorf
S Travis Westbrook

These aren’t major massive bad calls. Westbrook isn‘t amazing as a safety or anything, and Rebensdorf has underplayed his talent.

I extend CB Meester’s contract by two more years. I extend OT Tim Becker, S Tyrone Rexin, and DE Dennis Perry for the same. I add a year to K Claude Johnson’s contract.

I cannot get my P to extend his contract. I intend to franchise him next year.

I offer Ralph Barrett a four year deal with a very high salary and he agrees.

I extend DT Ben Corgan’s contract by two more years which increases his salary to middle level starting, cheap for a DT.

I have 26 players under contract and am 92 million under the cap. Which is good news.

I’m about to pursue a FA QB.

I have to choose between pursing Claude Grey, a 7th year veteran who was the 4th overall pick 7 years ago or Shane Dunlap who was the 1st overall pick 7 years ago. Same draft class, and just three picks apart. Which to pursue?

Claude is better in 3rd down passing. 82 to 48

Shane is more accurate 98 to 75.

Claude scrambles more 70 to 40

That’s it. They are very similar and both are easily franchise QB level.

I make an offer to Claude Grey. It’ s a very, very big offer.

I offer a major mega deal and hope it comes through.

I need a S so I could make an offer to Westbrook, but I find it better to hold off on S, CB, WR, C, FB because you can often get quality ones in later picks. You can easily get a safety just as good as Westbrook at 1/19. I grabbed him at 1/34.

I would get Rebensdorf if I hadn’t drafted Mr. No Pick in the first round this past year.

I do have one player I have to replace, my awful OT. I also can try to bring in another OG, but there aren’t any as good as what I traded.

I make a mega offer to OT Charles Dodge, a great OT, allowed just one sack last year, had a 41.6% blocking percentage.

I trade C Gerhardt to Green Bay for their 7/14 pick this year.

CB Frederickson has busted a bit after last year. Not as good as he once was. Blast it.

I make an offer to Rebensdorf.

Week 1 - OT Charles Dodge signs with us.

Week 2 - Mitchell Spence and Conrad McKnight signed elsewhere and Claude grey is our new QB!

Week 3 - Rebensdorf signs with us. S Donnell Newhart, who had a solid year with us last ear signs, as does our backup RB.

I extend LB Dexter Sutton’s contract by two years.

I am now 50 million under the cap and I’m going to stick with that. Well, actually, let me check something.

I cannot get anything about 2/25 for Frederickson, so I decide to keep him. I can keep him as a nice nickel back and grow him into a player that can get more than that. I hope.

I sign a very green DE Vinny Weiss in week 18. Three year deal.

I trade DE Dosoo to the Cowboys for their 5/21 pick this year.

I trade QB Billy Joe Mills to the Saints for their 3rd rounder this year. He was costing me 3.5 million.

Barrett has busted a tiny bit in a couple of areas.

The 2019 NFL Amateur Draft:

Here are my positions of need:

Starter: TE, FB, OG, DE perhaps, LB, S
Backup: QB, RBx3, TEx2, WRx2, C, OG, OT, DE, DTx2, LB, CBx2, S

The 6th pick arrives and the good QB is still here. We could have drafted Johnnie Stovall, from Syracuse, and been fine.

I grab a very well developed LB for the 1/6 pick. After that strong DE with a lot of green is drafted. By me. After that, I BAP the rest of the way.

Draft Recap:

1/6. LB Lenny Perry, Iowa
1/19. DE Jackie Greene, Louisiana Tech
2/19. OG Brock Timlin, Duke
2/22. S Jackie Cline, Kentucky
3/19. RB Casey Hsu, Notre Dame
3/30. C Ray Hampton, Kansas State
4. TE Bart Hudson, Arkansas
5/19. CB Rufus McGowan, Indiana
5/21. DT Joey McDermott, Texas Tech
6. LB Jim Lockett, Michigan
7/14. WR Kenneth Neumeyer, USC
7/19. QB Darnell Lundgren, Southern Methodist

We have 39 players under contract.

I sign RFA FB Billy Winters to the three year deal for us. He did very well for us last you so I’m bringing him back to see what he can do with a longer contract.

I sign some UFA:

FB Gary Hamilton, Ohio State
TE Ron Corbett, Tennessee
RB Kent Fusco, Syracuse
OT Chad McGuire, Baylor
DE Danny Rains, Tulane
S Sammy Poston, Central Florida

Let’s go camping.

Now let’s take a look at my rooks. There is some good and some bad here:

CB Rufus McGowan - 60/78. Rufus broke out, instead of busting. He is now starter caliber material in a 5th round CB. Makes me happy!
C Ray Hampton - 24/76 - The classic example of a quality C that falls.
DE Jackie Greene - 20/76 - Can develop into a real house.
S Jackie Cline - 31/71 - Once developed, would be a serviceable starter.
RB Casey Hsu - 37/65 - A decent backup.
DT Joey McDermott - 14/64 - Despite green ness, has very high qualities.
OG Brock Timlin - 20/63 - Pass Blocking specialist. May start due to lack of competition.
LB Lenny Perry - 55/55. Busted his potentials, but still has current stats. Will start because he is developed, but is not a long term starter.
LB Jim Lockett - 20/52 - Just a backup
QB Darnell Lundgren - 7/46 - Not even that good
WR Kenneth Neumeyer - 10/40. Feh
TE Bart Hudson - 26/26 - Busted to virtually worthless.

CB Frederickson busted a tiny bit.

I’ve got to do something about my CB position. I have four Cbs that are strong. One, Rebensorf is staying Another, Frederickson is not the quality I’d hope he’d be. That leaves Meester and rookie McGowan.

I try and can’t even trade Frederickson for a 3rd round so I’m keeping him.

I trade CB Meester to the Cowboys for their 2nd and 7th next year. I move McGowan into the starting role.

I sign: UFA CB Marlon Sanderson, Michigan

We are currently 24 million under the cap.

Week 1 - We lose week one fo the Vikings 13-22. Baum caught a TD pass from Grey. Barrett had 75 yards. Gray was iffy, about 50% and 1:0 but few yards. Rexin and McGowan had picks. We were held sackless on the road.

Both are probable and will start next week.

Week 3 - We crush the Bucs 30-0. RB Ralph Barrett is Game MVP with a receiving TD, 70 rushing yards, and 62 receiving. Gray had a good day and also hit Owen for a score. LB Sutton had 2 sacks. McGowan and Frederickson each had picks and Frederickson returned his for a score. C Tate had 4 KRB. This was an Away Game shutout.

Week 9 - We lose at home against the Bears 24-10. A bad loss, because now the Bears are in front in stead of us. Gray is dinged to probable again. Irwin played half the game. LB Lenny Perry and CB Marlon Sanderson had picks.

Week 14 - We defeat the Bears 17-7. Baum and Barrett each caught TD passes. Rexin and McGown each had picks. Rexin is GAME MVP with his pick and the game leader in tackles at 9. DE Greene had 1.5 sacks.

CB Rebensdorf is back

Week 15 - We barely win against the Vikes 13-12. Kennedy Banks had an 82 yard receiving play for ascore. Harvey Clancy is our Game MVP with a pick.

LB Joey Hulsey is out again. I IR him. TE Corbett is doubtful and I deactivate him. RB Barrett is questionable but I’ll start him anyway. They went for and failed a 2 point conversion, which is how we won the game.

Week 16 - We crush the Bucs 30-11. Rexin is Game MVP with a 97 yard KR RET TD, a pick, and the most tackles 7, on the team. C Tate had 4 KRB. Hsu had 141 yards and a score. Gray rushed for a score too.

We are 10-5 and heading into the final game of the season. Win or lose, I have made my prediction.

Week 17 - We crush Detroit 31-7/ CB Renensdorf is injured again and will likely be out the whole playoffs. DE Perry is back. Casey Hsu is Game MVP with two TD runs, 119 yards on 30 carries. Gray hit Owen for a score. Tate and OT Charles Dodge had 4 KRB.

We went 11-5 and won the tie breakers with Tamp Bay to win the NFC Central. Told ya!

NFC Championship:

I did NOT expect to make it this far. My team wins this season, but badly.

The #3 seed 11-5 Richmond Rattlesnakes seek to get into the Super Bowl in their franchise’s third year. They face…

The #1 seed Carolina Panthers with a 13-3 record and home field advanatge. They want to establish their name in football history.

We lose 17-34.

Barrett had a 66 yard run for aTD and a 12 yard one for another score late. We were held to one sack, no picks, not fum recoveries. To be fair, we didn;t toss a pick or fumble the ball ourselves.

The 2019 NFL SUPER BOWL

The 13-3 Panthers vs. the 12-4 Colts

(The Rail Runners went 13-3 and lost in the playoffs)

Carolina wins 35-7

7th best running game by yards
5th best passing game by yards per pass but middle of the pack by total yards.
8th worst ypc allowed, middle of the pack for rushing yards allowed
14th fewest passing yards allowed, tied for 5th fewest yards allowed per pass/play/completion (I’m not sure)
+11 to margin
We had 40 sacks, 16th most in league
We allowed just 25 sacks, second fewest in the league (Albuquerque had the fewest at 22)

There is very little here to highlight.

Individual stats:

QB Claude Gray, 2970, 13:5, 62.4%, 90 QB rating.

He was good, we just need more of him.

RB Ralph Barrett, was injured some, 1237 yards, 11 td, 4.2 ypc, 388 receiving yards and 4 receiving Tds

WR Mickey Baum, 939, 75 grabs, 2 TD
WR Levon Owen, also had 75 catches, 806 yards, 6 TD

Both of my returners, Rexin and Hernandez had returns for scores. Among qualifiers, they were one and two in the league for best KR return average. Rexin was 10th best PR Average, and 3rd best among those w/o a TD. Rexin had 5 fumbles and Hernandez just one, but Rexin returned the ball a lot more.

K Claude Johnson led the league with 37 of 46 FG and a long of 56
P Dwayne Orozco had the longest PR Average in the league and 35 of 84 in the 20. He had a better average by far than the #2 All Pro guy and a much higher % of punt sin the 20 than that guy.

DE Dennis Perry played 11 games and had 7 sacks.
LB Dexter Sutton had 6.5
DT Murray had 6.5
DE Weis had 5.5
DE Jackie Greene with 16 starts had 5

S Cline, CB McGowan, S Rexin each had 4 picks.

Rexin led the team with 11 pasdef, tied for 7th most in the league

C Jesse Tate had 38 KRB and allowed 4 sacks. Tied for most in the league with C Marty Brennan. And yet Tate did not get an All Pro win.

OT Charles Dodge, who did get All Pro, had 28 KRB and never allowed a sack all year
OT Timlin had 25, 6 sacks allowed
Travis Thomas had 21 and 8
Tim Becker with a down year with 19 and 6

Team Awards:

Offensive Player of the Year: OT Charles Dodge - This was his first All Pro year in his 7th year as an OT. In the past two seasons, he has allowed just one sack. With a strong running and passing game presence, Charles Dodge was a good signing, and I’m happy to have him on the team for now.
Defensive Player of the Year: LD Dexter Sutton - Tied for second most sacks on the team with 6.5. Leads the team in tackles, not Rexin. 2nd most pasdef on the team wit 8, more than three of the four starting Dbacks and the nickelback. These are some great stats and I want Dexter to know that, whether pass rushing, run stopping or pass protection, his game is top notch, and I appreciate it.
Special Teams Player of the Year: K Claude Johnson, The guy was on fire. HE kicked the hell out of the ball all season along and got All Pro first team honors for it.
Rookie of the Year: CB Rufus McGowan - I had no idea when I drafted this guy in the 5th round that he would ever start for me. It was simply a BAP pick. I had no idea that not only would be boom in camp, but would do so significantly enough that I would trade CB Meester, start him, and he would have 4 picks and 7 pasdef. He’s no super Mr amazing fantastic, but he’s good enough.
Heart Award: RB Casey Hsu - He was asked to step up during Ralph Barrett’s various injuries, and he never started, just subbed, but when he did, he had 484 yards and 5 Tds. There were two games at the end of the season where he virtually started, and we won, and he had over 100 yards in each. Good job Casey!

Records:

Heath Shepherd’s record for most rushing attempts in a season was beaten this season by a Falcons RB.

2020 sees the debut of new stadium technology.

Virtual Stadium Boxes have been invented and are now available as a building option for new stadiums. Here Is the text straight from the game:

“One of your competitors is designing a new stadium
featuring the latest luxury technology, Virtual Stadium
Boxes. Each box holds about 40 people, who are equipped
with special head sets that allow them to experience the
game through the eyes, ears and even the nose of any
player on the field.

The technology, designed by Solecismic Software, is
ridiculously expensive, but your competitor sold
all of its available boxes within days at more than
twice the price of conventional luxury boxes.

You can add these boxes to new stadium construction,
but not to an existing stadium because of the extensive
wiring that's required underground. These VR Boxes
will no doubt fuel the next major push for new stadium
Construction.”

We paid a lot of money last year in bonuses, which drove up our costs, a lot. Last year, we lost 139 million, this year, 219 million.

Who made money last year:

Washington, Tennessee, Phily made a ton of cash, Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Green Bay, Indy, and New Orleans. 10 of the 36 teams made money, Note that no expansion team is among them. Most of these are the biggest population centers. Phily had a revenue stream of over 600 million we brought in less than 150 million. We have a smaller stadium fewer people and can charge less money without an established fan base.

I have the 3rd cheapest scout in the league and the cheapest head coach by far. I pay my head coach 3 million, the next lowest is 4.38, then 6.7 at third lowest. I was over 25 million under the cap last year. It’s not as if I’m not minding my Ps and Qs.

I franchise my P.

I don’t even HAVE club seats at my stadium.

The Eagles have 399 luxury boxes. I have 40. They sell theirs for 400k each, I sell mine for 85k each.

Let’s move to free agency,

I sign the P for three years.

I have 36 players under contract and 24 million under the contract right now.

We draft #32

I cut FB Billy Winters, he dropped in ability after his injury.

CB Frederickson has busted a bit more.

I get on the horn and start making some trade offers.

I trade OT Danny Baker to the Bears for their 5/29 pick

I extend K Claude Johnson’s contract by two years.

I trade QB Roderick Irvin to the Raiders for their 3 and 6th picks this year (pick # 31 in each round)

Irvin was in his last year. I also look to move some other players in the final year.

I trade OG Simpkins to the Bears for their 6th rounder.

The OG Travis Thomas as a starter experiment is over. He has not looked good over the past two years. I look to move him. I find a trade partner with the Patriots. Their 3 and 6 this year for him, which I take.

I sign DT Joey McDermott to a three year deal.

Rufus McGowan has boomed into an even better CB but his contract ends a the end of this year. He just signed a two year deal as a rookie. Next year I may have to sign him as an RFA

Other player in their final year. I like Brant Wilkerson as my WLB< but he does not have THAT much talent and I’m not paying him 8+ million a year. This may be his final year, and if I acquire a starter before the beginning gof the season, Imight look to move him.

C Jesse Tate is in his final year. Try to sign him to a big contract, or move him and start my hot rookie from last year? I’ll keep him this year, and like McGowan, may negotiate with him as an RFA next year.

WR Mickey Baum is in his last year, but he has not done that well, statistically. Is it the QB or is it the WR? For now, no trades and no resignings. Let’s see what my roster looks like post draft.

I trade CB Darren Frederickson to the Bucs for their 2/28 and 7/28 this year.

Albuquerque let OG Orlando Wells go, but it’s about time. Wells is in his 15th year, so I agree with that. Wells was a true over achiever, who played a lot better than his skill set might otherwise suggest. I loved him.

I trade DT Bill Murray to the Eagles for their 2/5 pick this year. Murray was not living up to his hype and was the second highest paid player on my team without really playing like it. So I moved him.

What starters do I need?

FB, TE, WR, OG, LB maybe, DT Maybe

I am 49 million under the cap. If I want, I can bring in an FA or two.

FB Warren Dole is available but he’s not that good.

I decide to make a decision with my heart, and not my head. I make an offer to OG Orlando Wells.

Week 1 - Albuquerque resigns him. That’s fine. I just didn‘t want this guy, who for his whole career has played for just San Antonio and Albuquerque to end up somewhere like Austin or Seattle, I’d rather him play for me.

I sign a 5 year vet WR Tyrone Garner. I made a minor offer, less than what he was asking, and the team he was with, San Diego, was offering several million more, but he decided to come to us.

Garner is solid. He’s not world setting, but he looks good. Last year, he had 1217 yards receiving.

Week 16. I make an offer to FB Brad Carlson for the league minsal for two years. He signs the next week.

WHOAH!

I get a mega trade offer. The Jets are offering me the 1/1 pick and some bum at S for Claude Gray.

I reject a couple of later 1st round offers for Ralph Barrett and Dennis Perry, but the 1/1? That’s something.

I wish I still had Irvin on my team. Gray is solid. But it took me three years to get my guy. I’m sticking with him. I rejects all three trade offer.

The 2020 NFL Amateur Draft

Here is why that sucked and I made the wrong call. The best QB is still on the board at my pick, 1/32. I could have grabbed a studly guy at 1/1 and still gotten my QB choice here. That sucks.

My first few picks will go to need, then after that BAP

I am sorely tempted at 2/5 to grab a great, great RB because he is there, or to take the high quality QB, just because you want talent at these positions. There is a solid but unspectacular TE, many adequate LB, and…oh, hold up. That‘s a really good DT.

The good QB was taken just a few picks before mine at 28, so I grab this great RB as a consolation BAP prize.

Draft Recap

1. OG Ike Logan, Auburn
2/5. DT Preston Cochrane, Oregon
2/28. RB Grady Pender, UCLA
2/32. LB Roosevelt McWilliams, Auburn
2/33. FB Zach Taylor, Florida State
3/16. QB Ronnie Madrid, Louisiana-Slippery Rock
3/31. WR Nolan Howe, NW Missouri State
3/32. OG Ernest Moss, Tulsa
4. CB Harold Jefferson, Georgia Tech
5/29. LB Victor Roberge, Alabama
5/32. RB Scott Manning, Mississippi State
6/16. DT Moe Peterson, Notre Dame
6/29. TE Randall Patterson, Tennessee
6/31. S Danny Urlacher, Purdue - KR/PR
6/32. CB Andre Cole, Florida State
7/28. C Trevor Dole, North Carolina A&T
7/32. S Daryl Curtis, Nebraska
7/33. WR Harold Wiggins, Kentucky

Post draft I have 49 players on my rosters

I bring in some UFA:

TE Walt Fox, UCLA
TE Kirk Shulz, Charleston Southern
OG Russell Colvin, Mississippi
DE Brian Varto, Northwestern

Here we go, camping ho!

Post camp, I cut TE Kurt Schulz

I sign UFA CB Seth McCown, Middle Tennessee St.

I cut TE Randal Patterson

I sign a patch:

TE Andrew Ramirez for a year to start and be my TE

I cut WR Kennedy Banks

I sign OT Malcolm Dowdell, California, for a year

I am 9 million under the cap

We sold 47,200 season tix

I need to make a C and a WR decision.

I need to figure out Mickey Baum and Jesse Tate.

Mickey Baum is tough. He will be a UFA next year, so there is no RFA window to evaluate him now and resign him later if warranted like I can do with Tate, McGowan and Wilkerson.

I try to see what I can get for him. The Jets want him enough to offer a 1st and 7th for him. Now that’s pretty good. I take them up on that offer.

I sign WR Barry Warren as a patch for this year.

I decide to keep my disgruntled backup C when I find out that I can’t even get a 5th for him, and I drafted him in the 3rd last year. Now, what I need to find out is, slide to my backup and trade Tate, or keep Tate.

Potential:

Tate:

79 run block
84 pass block
41 endurance

Hampton:

95 run block
62 pass block
41 endurance

Do I want 16 more run blocking for a loss of 22 pass blocking? It comes down to that. No, I don’t.

I’m sticking with Tate.

We go just 1-3 in the preseason.

Week 1 - We defeat Denver 30-19. Ralph Barrett is Game MVP with 137 yards on 21 carries. Gray had a rushing score plus he hit Warren twice. Cline and McGowan had picks.

Week 2 - We defeat the Vikings 28-10. Barrett was once again Game Mvp with 2 TD, one on the ground and one in the air. 101 yards on 25 carries, while Gray also hit Warren and Ramirez. DE Greene had 2 sacks, McGowan rocked another pick.

Two of my Dts are knocked to doubtful

Week 3 - We lose against the Lions 24-30. Barrett had two runs for scores including a 56 yard one, 161 yards on the day. Gray hit Harold Wiggins for a score, and then threw a pick that was returned for a score, causing us to be tied. Someone want to tell me why we are throwing with 2:58 on the clock and us up 24-17? Anyway, OT and they win. That was dumb play calling. Gray had 4 picks on the day, so he wasn‘t that good. LB Perry had 2 sacks (Not DE Perry who had one)C Tate had 6 KRB and OT Becker had 4. Barrett was NFL Offensive Player of the Week.

Week 4 - We lose poorly, 19-0, against the Bears. We let our offense get out whack. Gray threw 38 times but Barrett ran 8. That is, again, bad play calling. We are on the raod, in Chicago, with the best RB in football, and we run with him eight times?

Week 5 - We lose to San Diego 38-31. Rexin had a blocked punt scrambled up and returned for a TD and he had a 108 yard KR TD. He also had a pick. McGowan had a pick as well. Barrett had 15 rushes for 19 yards. Gray hit Garner and Barrett for scores. Rexin is NFL Defensive Player of the Week.

LB Perry is doubtful and will rest for a while.

Week 6 - We manage to defeat the 1 win Lions 22-14. Barrett gets injured early and Pender plays most of the game and gets Game MVP with 101 yards on 24 carries. Gray also hit Warren for a score. Cline and Rexin had picks. DE Perry had a sack and a half.

OG Brock Timlin is out with a Torn Thumb Ligament and his skills drop a bit. I IR him. Ernest Moss will be starting in his place. If he develops, Moss can be an okay starter.

Week 7 - We take down Arizona 37-14. Barrett is knocked to questionable and Pender is Game MVP again with 2 TD runs. Gray had a TD run of his own and hit Garner for a score. Garner has 113 yards on 6 catches. DE Greene had 1.5 sacks.

Week 8 - BYE WEEK

Week 9 - We go on the road to Minnesota and hang 51 points on them for a 51-17 win. Rar! Claude Gray was Game MVP with TD passes to TE Ramirez (51 yards), Garner (7 yards), Ramirez (47 yards), Wiggins (22 yards). S and KR/PR Urlacher had a 95 yard PR TD.

They stymied us on the ground. Gray got a little banged at the end and they had to send him off for a couple of series but he’ll be fine for next week. Ramirez finished with 107 and 3 grabs. Urlacher had a pick on the day too.

Week 10 - We lose at home 10-17 to the Pack. FB Taylor had our lone TD of the day. Gray threw up FIVE picks. OG Ike Logan had 5 KRB.

Week 11 - We win at home 41-10 over the Raiders. They are always there to help us out. Gray is game MVP with TD passes to Wiggins, Wiggins and Howe. Casey Hsu caught a 2 point conversion. Rexin and Cline had picks. We were held sackless. OT Dodge had 5 KRB. Gray was also NFL Offensive Player of the Week.

LB Perry will be back next week.

Week 12 - We crush the Bears 38-6.

Gray is GAME MVP with 5 TD passes to Warren, Barrett, Garner, Warren and Warren. Warren had 103 yards on 5 catches. DE Greene added a pair of sacks. Rebensdorf, Rexin and Jefferson had picks.

Week 13 - This was a good day. Tampa was one game up on us but we beat them 27-17. Game MVP was RB Ralph Barrett with 2 TD runs and 207 yards on 30 carries. Gray hit Howe for a TD. McGowan had a pick. OT Becker had 4 KRB. Barrett was also NFL Offensive Player of the Week.

Unfortunately, I lost one of my favorite players, LB Dexter Sutton, for the season and his skills look to have dropped as well. I IR him. Wilkerson will be starting again.

3 of my final four games are on the road, including a Week 17 match at Tampa which could decide the division.

Week 14 - We win on the road 20-3 at green Bay. Gray is GAME MVP With a TD pass to Garner, 20 of 26 for 198 yards, 1:0. Barrett had 86 yards and a score himself. Cline and Jefferson had picks.

Tampa lost again so we are up one game in the NFC Central.

Week 15 - We then lose our home game to Carolina 17-35. Ugh! Gray had two TD passes but we had no sacks, no picks and Barrett was held to 56 yards.

With this loss, we now have to travel to the 10-4 Cowboys and 8-6 Bucs in order to have a shot at the division title.

Week 16 - We manage to upend the Cowboys 27-20.

CB McGowan is questionable. LB Brant Wilkerson is GAME MVP with 13 tackles and a sack. Barrett had a Td and 96 yards. Gray hit Warren and Garner for scores. Nothing else remarkable about the day.

Week 17 - We travel to the Bucs. If we lose, and Green Bay wins, I don;lt know who wins the division but Tampa lost this week, so they cannot win the division.

Week 17 - We head to Tampa and…lose, 41-35 in OT. Rebensdorf is Game MVP with a pick for a TD, 2 total on the day. C Tate had 4 KRB. DE Perry had 1.5 sacks. Rexin had a pick. Gray hit Hsu, Garner and Ramirez for TDs. Barrett had TD on the ground.

Green Bay lost too, so we won the division and host Carolina next week.

(Albuquerque lost to Seattle)

New Orleans over Atlanta 35-13

NFC Championship:

Saints 38, Cowboys 17

2020 Super Bowl

Saints vs. Bengals

Saints 31, Bengals 14
