Wrestling Spirit Released

Grey Dog Software

They have a demo as well. I know a bunch of us have been waiting for a fun wrestling sim. I also give Gary credit for pricing a first generation release lower than an established product.

I thought this thread was going to be about someone channelling the spirit of Andre the Giant or something...

Pretty cool. Good to see Grey Dog pumping out the titles. I'm not a big wrestling fan (mixed martial arts maybe), but I hope this does well and be interested in hearing the feedback.

I would be interested to see how this game is. Though not a big fan of wrestling or his previous game (it wasn't a bad game, it just wasn't my cup of tea), I like the role-playing idea behind this one. It could become a fun little dynasty.

Anyone try it out yet? If so, how is it?

Is there a way to quick-sim the matches? My first match took too long (and I lost anyway).

I'm not sure I can get into this... I have no idea what any of the move names mean, and with dubious titles like "Butt Thrust," I'm leary of trying them out...

Double-click on them & an explanation/description pops up.

Yeah, I mean I used to follow wrestling pretty religiously as a kid..but I have no clue what's going on now a days.

What happened to the days of punch, kick, slap, and big leg drops!?

This demo just isn't doing it for me. Didn't help that on my run through the demo I got to wrestle one match, and made the mistake of being beat down by one of the bigguns of the fed before my match.

im a moron, i went ahead and bought it sight unseen....

I certainly didnt expect to have crash to desktop first thing, EVERYTIME. Im not happy. Perhaps someone from Greydog will help out as I piggybacked on the forum over there on someone who had the same problem, but they havnt heard back yet. we'll see. id like the game to work and be good.

Flasch, I replied to you over on the GDS forum but I figured I would post here as well. Just send Adam and myself an email with your save game and we will check it out ASAP to see what we can do to get you fixed up.

The audio (what there is of it...).. well.. they tried really hard and probably did the best with what they could do with it..

But it falls well short of good. In fact, were I to review it for gamenikki or elsewhere, it would actually take points away from the review. It's just jarring and really not fitting.
