I'm having a hard time deciphering this map but I think it might be right up peoples' alleys here.

American English Dialects

"North American English Dialects, Based on Pronunciation Patterns", including map and audio samples of all local dialects in the U.S. It's kind of awesome how New Orleans has its own inset map, because dialect varies neighborhood by neighborhood there.

That's a great resource for actors. Youtube has made it so much easier to di dialect work. I just recently directed a character that needed an Argentine accent. Not only could I find multiple videos of Argentinians practicing English, but I also found a short series showing the Argentine Spanish accent.
