Never heard of him.

They did, however, waste the perfect Super Bowl to have Weird Al do.

I like it when they have a few surprise guests, but not too bad. Good visuals and performance, but the sound didn’t seem quite right.

Just to put it in context, The Weeknd has sold 75m albums since his debut in 2013. That's about as much as Usher, Shakira, or Nirvana has sold in their entire careers.

It's a tie in to his album.

I had never heard of him before they announced he’d be doing the half time show. I had heard that “blinding light” song, but that was it. Enjoyed the half time show, though!

The grab on the receiver chiefs receiver in the back of the endzone was the same thing called against them in the first half.

worse I think. He got mugged.

That throw Mahomes just made was a freak throw. Hits the receiver in the facemask. You just can't do that any better from being laid out, side arm, and 25 yards away. Nuts skill there.

Mahomes is just crazy talented. Too bad he has turnstiles playing in front of him.

From the random bits I'm aware of, it seems as though there has been a serious amount of outcoaching / outpreparing that took place.

KC has performed like a team that skipped curfew.

Yes, and no - TB defensive gameplan is good, but the biggest factor is KC’s backup OL can’t give Mahomes the time he needs

I'm not sure I would say that one team was outcoached or another underprepared.

While the Tampa defence has been excellent, I think the difference is really just their front four dominating the Chiefs offensive line. There have been a lot of other little things... Mahomes has clearly been hindered by his foot, the Chiefs receivers had a few balls that they probably should have caught, the Chiefs had a few marginal calls go against them and also took a few undisciplined calls as well. These penalties all seemed to come at key times, extending Bucs drives.

This, which I don't even think would be as big of a deal if Mahomes could actually scramble and get away. With the turf toe, that's not an option.

Echoing what others have already said here, but some of these throws Mahomes is making are insane. Sideways, being hit, laid out, cross-body, yet he's putting them where they need to be. Unreal ability.

The Chiefs mentally were broken by that end of first-half drive (and their own miscues, penalties, mental breaks, etcetera). Their offensive game plan turned out to be "Let Mahomes run around while half the state of Florida tries to chase him and skin him alive, and then let him make an impossibly athletic throw that will give his receivers a chance, only to have it doink off their hands/helmet"

It's Tom Brady's World, and we're just living in it *shrugs*

That's right folks, Blaine Gabbert now gets a Super Bowl ring.

I am not surprised molson, but you know this sort of thing will end up coming between us, especially when we argue.

I think the loss of Eric Fisher was probably one of the underrated stories heading into the game. It might have been different if the Chiefs O-line had a few games to play together in their new positions. Their performance was awful.

The KC time out with 45ish seconds left in the first half was a head scratcher. "Wait Andy Reid think they're going to have a chance to score here?''

That is the Andy Reid I love to root against. He come through just so often.

I am pretty sure that he is the first of the "vaunted" QB draft class of 2011 to get a ring.

1. Cam Newton
2. Jake Locker
3. Blaine Gabbert
4. Christian Ponder
5. Andy Daulton
6. Colin Kaepernnick
7. Ryan Mallett
8. Rickey Stanzi
9. T.J. Yates
10. Nathan Enderle
11. Tyrod Taylor
12. Greg McElroy

No other rings, right?

Aside from a brief mention about his son near the end, did they even mention Andy Reid the rest of the game? It was almost like they were told not to mention him. I don't even remember seeing a shot of him.

This game felt like one of those those mid-10s Alabama games where the defense is so overwhelming that all the offense had to do was not lose the ball. Basically Tom Brady was John Parker Wilson or Greg McElroy last night.
