What a time to be alive. As someone who's been playing FOF since 2001, and OOTP just as long, I'm very excited about the 2 products coming together.

Some small things that I’m personally looking forward to. Maybe not in the first version but later:

- Same brilliant engine
- Better look and feel (Much needed)
- Player photos (It just does something for my immersion)
- TCY / FOF merger in one game (This would be beyond cool)
- Expansions (Have always wanted to start my own team )
- Defensive playbook overhaul

I think there's also room for Jim to help OOTP. If his skill with roster management and trade logic were to improve OOTP, that would be almost as good news as a new UI for FOF.

I haven't posted here in a long time, but holy crap I saw Jim post something cryptic on Facebook and came straight here. This is an awesome development and I can't wait for the inevitable FOF/TCY merger!

Side note, just occurred to me. OOTP has the heft to put out an iOS port of its baseball game. Wouldn't that be something to someday see FOF for the iPad/iPhone.

This is amazing news. Congrats to all involved.

I have only one request for FOF9. Please tone down the randomization for the first season, and for the coaches.

It kills me to start a franchise and have Joe Flacco be the Ravens third-string QB in the 2017 preseason.

I LOVE that things get less predictable as the seasons go on, but established starters should begin the game as established starters...and the Steelers should not be firing Mike Tomlin the first time he goes 9-7.

Thank you for making the best football game out there, and i can't wait to see it continue to improve!

Eh... OOTP is LIGHT YEARS ahead of FOF.

It's not just the interface - it's how fully customizeable the game is, from top to bottom.

This has been FOF's weakness forever.

I sincerely hope we get the flexibility of OOTP with this. If it's just FOF8 with a coat of paint on it, I'm not interested.
