Buy Modern Warfare 2 on Amazon.com and get $20 towards your next video game...

Which I will most absolutely doing and hoping that Dragon Age is still available for $10 off in a few days when they put the money into my account.

Not sure where to ask this, so I'll stick it in here:

Are there any good RPGs out where you have to build and fight within parties (a la the old Dragon Warrior series)?

If you're looking to buy for PC then Steam has a 4 pack special for $134.99. That's the absolute cheapest I've seen it.

I've seen it on Steam. From the screenshots, it seems a little too graphical.

I guess I'm looking for something with more of an overhead view that really features the characters and their skill/level growth. It could be a little older and graphics aren't much of a factor -- just looking for the type of sweeping RPGs I used to play when I was a kid (like the early Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior games).

Swaggs, are you set on turn-based combat?

Dragon Age does look a bit graphics-intensive, but it is HUGELY story-driven.

Well if graphics aren't much a factor, check this out:
http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/

They have a slew of those type games. Graphics aren't great, but they have good story arcs and demos are available for you to try.

I still have Killzone2(bought it at Best Buy when it was buy it and get another game for like $20 or something, six months ago), haven't played more than five minutes of it yet....

I had too many other games at the same time and it never got any play time. Maybe I need to start it up now.

Madden 10 and FIFA 10 are both $35 over at Amazon DOD right now. From the upcoming deal descriptions, it appears that NHL 10 and NBA 10 will both be getting a price cut as well in the coming hours along with a version of the Need for Speed franchise. (360 and PS3 versions)

Looks like Steam threw their deals in as well. It appears that they are a set of deals for each day. Tonight's deal has Batman: Arkham Asylum at half off ($24.99) right now and Dragon Age Origins for 25% off ($37.49) and a few more.

Check it out:

I was gonna post L4D2 for $39 at Gamestop brick & mortar tomorrow but you may have just made it a moot point for us (as my wife is planning to use Amazon for an iPod Touch for the boy shortly anyway). Thanks for the heads up

So was the $179 iPod Touch sorry to say

Did manage to get L4D2 for $39 and ODST for $47, which was $8 higher than a couple of b&m stores on the latter but ordered anyway since pre-dawn Black Friday crowds aren't worth that little savings.

It's one of my favorite games. Very fun story. There are some good mods out there for it as well to make it more challenging if you find it too easy (which many people do.)

City of HeroesŪ Architect Edition on Steam - $9.99

Which tempts me a bit, as that's less than a month of game time costs plus the edition comes with one of the Booster Packs (usually $10). Not really sure I want to deal with having to set up a Steam account though (especially if I'll be able to find boxes at GameStop for $9.99 when a new box edition comes out).

I don't know, I've never done it before. I don't really buy many games (with the countless hours I spend playing CoH, really no point), so not really sure I need another place with my info out there or another login to keep track of.

Well, I was responding specifically to cuervo's concern about placing his information in the hands of yet *another* online vendor. I'm about 99% sure cuervo already has a PayPal account, as that is the traditional avenue by which we donate for FOxL upkeep.
