So I'm Thinking About Buying an Ipad...

...is there any reason that I would need to get one with more than 32GB of memory?

I've got a 16 and still have 8 available, but I don't really use it for games.

Only if you intend to use it for movies and music and/or games. But movies are going to be the biggest memory issue. My first one was a 32 GB and I had never filled it. My 2nd one is just 16 GB and it suffices. So yeah, 32GB and you should be fine unless you anticipate using it tons and storing lots of movies on it.

Planning on using it for games primarily, with movies and internet conectivity being a distant second and third. I had kicked around the idea of a 64 or 128 but the cost of either of those makes me hesitate. Especially if 32 is enough to get the job done.

My first one was a 16 and now I have a 32 - I find that I keep a ton of pictures on it which starts to eat up the space after a while, along with a few movies and TV shows, I've been glad to have the 32, but wouldn't really need anything more than that.

The pictures take up a lot of space as do movies. Easy enough to clean out though periodically.

I got a 16 with my first one and a 64 on my 2nd one.

For me, part of the value is (as mentioned) as a back up for photos, music, and movies. I filled the 16 up pretty quickly and now have to juggle apps when I want to add something new.

I went with the 64 on my second (after having the 16 for a couple years). A big reason is that my kid uses it like crazy (especially if we go out to eat), so I like to keep a few kids movies and a bunch of apps on it for him.

I'd go with the 32 if you don't have small children, don't travel long distances often (go places without driving where it is convenient to watch full length movies or TV shows on a plane/train/etc), or don't have a ridiculous amount of photos/music. Otherwise, go with the 64.

I've a 32Gb one for my personal (non-development) use and find myself running out of space continually - I have around 20Gb of Music and 8Gb of App's ... then if I put a few TV shows or films on then I'm pushing things hugely (I think I can fit around 4 TV shows or a movie and a show or two).

I'd always suggest going for the largest space possible if you've got a lot of stuff to cart around with you.
